This is a great device. I used it for auditorium recording as well as recording on the road. It's limiter functions are nice.

Love Touch ID feature rather than having to enter computer password for many functions.

Needed a short cable to connect thermal printer to computer. Functions well.

Does exactly what I need. Has all the onboard functions needed for recording. Sound is excellent with a MK-416 plugged directly in. Unit is light. No complaints. No need to use my low noise preamps any more. Only (very slight) issue I have has more to do with physics than it does with Panasonic. You really can't put the adapter and mic on top of the camera when using it on a gimbal. Was hoping that I could somehow balance it with an RF receiver instead of the shotgun mic, but it was just too top heavy.

Yes it's a bridge camera, but I am using it as my bridge from taking stills to recording video. Video functions galore. It's much like the GH4 (without interchangeable lens), including installing the v-Log profile DMW-SFU1-VLOG. I just installed this upgrade today and will be testing it tomorrow. Built-in ND filters and the ability to set shutter speed from secs to degrees are welcome bonuses for me.

I do a lot of home studio recording and live performance as a keyboard player, and I needed a good, hands-on mono synth. I tried going the VST and midi controller route, but it fell short. The Bass Station II is well built, especially the keyboard. The keys are full length piano keys and the key bed is solid. The aftertouch is awesome, and the special key functions and controls layout is easy to navigate. I really love the sequencer functions as well. The documentation has some annoying typos, at least the english version does, but descriptions are well-written. There are some really good demos/tutorials on YouTube as well.

I use this so that I can position the recorded in the best place to record, but control the recording from where I need to be. The functions on the remote are exactly the right ones - as long as you remember to set the levels while you are positioning the recorder.

While the Tascam RC3F 3-way Footswitch assists the user in performing the most basic of recording functions (like play, pause, record, punch-in, etc.), when you're trying to record yourself on guitar (or any other instrument requiring the use of both hands) while simultaneously acting as recording engineer, these functions suddenly don't seem so basic - especially if you're like me and don't possess a lot of coordination/physical dexterity. In this regard, the fact that the RC-3f in essence acts like a third hand is impossible not to notice. Even with a pretty sophisticated machine like the Tascam DP-24 Digital PortaStudio (for which I use this device), those basic functions I mentioned are next to impossible to perform when you already have both hands full. I even have an old Tascam 414 PortaStudio 4-track recording deck from the mid-80s (still works like a charm), and while the punch-in switch for that unit is no longer available, I simply purchased the appropriate adapter (pin to RCA) that allows my RC-3F to connect to it, and I'm punching away on that machine, toohands-free and all, while the ol' cassette spools spin round and round at 3-3/4 per second (great for when I'm in a vintage mood).
