Recover Data From External Usb Hard Drive

Successfully converts USB-C to USB. I use this for my external hard drive.

This external hard drive are that I was looking for, very faster data transfer, very well build... I bought it to storage pictures on vacations. I had to formatted it before use, don't care the software that come with..I delate everything it work perfect with my macbook pro. I used this to transfer data from my old laptop Hard drive to my new one for my Macbook Pro early 2011. The adapter made data transfer so easy and took the guessing game out and worry out. I had no data loss and you could not even tell once the transfer was complete that you even switched hard drives. It's just like there was a hard drive in there all this time. The only issue I had was since my laptop runs on usb 2.0 the transfer was slower but if I had a usb 3.0 connection I'm sure the speed would have been quicker.

I use this adapter to connect an external hard drive to my Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Tablets only have mini usb ports. To use an external or any other device that uses a usb port, you'll need this adaptor. I also recommend getting an adapter that has a mini USB port on the adapter so you can keep your tablet charging while you use it with the USB device.

I have used a LaCie Rugged USB External Hard Drive as a backup device for over 10 years. This is a very reliable product. When I purchased a new computer with a Type C drive I did not hesitate to upgrade to a LaCie Type C drive knowing it would be just as reliable.

The LaCie 1TB Rugged USB 3.1 external hard drives are affordable and very reliable. I own and use quite a few of them and have never had a problem with them. While they aren't as fast as a solid state drive (SSD), they are handy for backing up data and/or transferring data from one computer to another.

B&H computer expert solved my problem of USB external hard drives dropping photos while transferring data by suggesting use of powered USB hub linked to USB port on MacBook . Works wonderfully. 4 External hard drives now transferring data without any loss. Thank you B&H, Happy customer.

I've been using LaCie drives for about 25 years. These drives have always been very reliable. This drive is no exception. I recently replaced my 2013 MacPro with a new Mac Studio. When I replace my machines I also replace my external hard drives. Externals don't last forever. I feel that after 5+ years it's better to be safe than sorry. I bought this drive to use to hold my main data. Data transfer was reasonably quick. Editing photos stored on this drive I have not felt data transfer is slow or unreliable. Overall I highly recommend this LaCie external hard drive.

Purchased as a Time Machine external hard drive for my MacBook Pro. Works very well - plenty fast for backup tasks. Very quiet operation compared to the Western Digital drives I tried out. Great for long term storage of data as SSD drives are prone to data loss over time if not powered on regularly. Learned this the hard way :-/

I bought this to access data from orphan drives taken from my multi-bay external hard drive. It's easy to install a drive in the enclosure and my iMac immediately recognized the drive on startup. Transfer speeds were fine for my purpose (copying files from the drive). A good solution for me at a reasonable price.
