I have umbrellas, reflectors, rectangular softboxes, etc. in my studio and I recently bought two of these. As Ilive in Thailand, I usually order more than I need because of customs, etc. Anyway, this has become my staple. I have used it for macro photography, portraits, etc. I would not use it for group shots or more than 2 people. However, with 2 of them, it is really easy to do couples, etc. Also, because it is not huge it does not scare people. It creates incredibly soft light. I would get the defelector and the grid just because it gives one so much control. I wish I started with these as if I had, I would probably never have bought square or rectangular ones. Purchased this to replace a 19 square monitor with limited resolution. Love the resolution of this monitor but have to get used to the rectangular shape of the newer monitors. 5 |
