The drive is exactly as advertised. �The Windows version comes formatted using the �Windows NT standard. �If you have a Mac and want a color other than black: �Buy the Windows version in whatever color you like and reformat it for Mac. � To do that, plug it into your Mac, and install the Western Digital Mac utility that comes on the drive. �Use that utility to erase & reformat the drive �-- you'll get an error message if you try to reformat it using Apple's Disk Utility if you have High Sierra. �It reformats quickly and - voila - you have a Mac-compatible drive. � If you want to retain the software that comes with the drive, just copy it to your desktop, reformat the portable drive, and copy the software back onto it. 5 |

The adapters work very well. I am using two older HP monitors, HP w2408h and HP w2338h to interface with my HP (Windows 10 only) Pavillion desktop until the windows 10 update cut off happens next year.
