I use it for my Mac. I had to work at it to get FileVault to work with it on El Capitan - you need to reformat (no problem) and then partition, for which you need to go to the command line Disk Utility now. Not hard, just that Apple seems to want to dumb down the graphical Disk Utility. If you don't care about that, it works straight out of the box. 5 |

Not much to say other than it's worked as advertised these past few weeks. It's very simple to reformat and partition for my iMac. Just based on personal anecdotes, it's very fast. 5 |

I use the drive to back up my laptop and I use another partition to archive all my photos. It isn't USB 3.0 but it is plenty fast when transferring data. I haven't used it for very long but so far so good. I like that is doesnt come preloaded with WD software. 5 |

We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly. 5 |

Good drive, but if you are a Mac user, be sure to reformat the Drive to MAC OS Journaled. It used to be the case that ExFat was okay if you needed to share a drive between a Mac and a PC user. But with the newer OS updates, my ExFat drives no longer read the data in Final Cut Pro X. What a hassle! I have to buy another one of these just to use it as a transfer tool so I can re-format my ExFat drives. That takes a lot of time and money. Hope that helps someone out there NOT to make the mistake I made. 5 |
