Refurbished 2Tb External Solid State Drives

I have 2 WD 2TB external drives. I am very happy with both. I recommend WD drive to everyone.

This is a wonderful external drive. I own three of them and also three of the older, 2TB drives with Thunderbolt and Micro-USB 3.0 connections. All have proved to be absolutely reliable and fast enough for simultaneous playback of multiple high-resolution videos. I haven't tried dropping one onto a concrete sidewalk from the top of a tall building, but the orange bumper around the drive certainly provides plenty of protection against ordinary wear and tear. (As I said, I've never had one fail.) The bumper also provides good friction, so that the drive will sit on any surface without slipping. It also means there's no need to keep the drive in a separate case. Lacie originally made drives predominantly for MACs, and those who used the older drives may have experience some minor inconvenience installing them on PCs. But these new drives are completely plug-and-play. Also, on the older drives, the orange bumper extended too close the USB socket, so that the connection was not perfectly tight. This has also been corrected on the newer modes. Overall, a great drive.

I now have 7 of these WD external drives. They include 1tb, 2tb and now a couple of 5tb. I started buying them in 2015 and that one is still reliable, though the one I purchased a year later has started acting squirrely. The rest of them continue to be fast and reliable places to store my data and photos.

I bought them because until now the biggest external USB drive you could get that didn't require an external power supply was 2TB. Now it's up to 5TB and I'm replacing the old ones. I've had good luck over the years with WD. Love to play p10

A common issue with external hard drives with 2TB storage is that they are wall-powered and tend to heat up. However, this product is physically small, portable, USB-powered (only one port required), and does not appear to generate heat. It is easy to use on either Windows, Linux or Mac OS and can be easily set up with any backup software. This is one of the better priced external hard drives of any size.

The LaCie 2TB Rugged SSD Pro external SSD costs more than many other drives. However, it is very well made, high capacity, and transfers data very quickly - much faster than a hard disk drive (HDD). I use them for photographic editing and enjoy the quick response and reliability. I've never had a single issue with a LaCie drive.

I had bought many 2TB external hard drives. Years ago they were large and also had to use power adaptors. The whole thing is a big chunk with two tangling wire cords. Now this drive is very small and quiet and only a USB cord would work for both computers and TVs. The 2TB capacity is decent and allowed on most cable or sitelite boxes and smart TVs.

I have several of the 2TB Barracuda 3.5 Internal Desktop Hard Drive by Seagate. I used them with as backup repositiries utilizing a NewerTech Voyager SATA drive dock. it is a Multi-Interface Dock that i can use with any size drive. Instead of having one big external backup unit, or several individual external drives - I use the voyager and back up each of the four drives in my macPro. I also use these drives internally when needed.

Very handy for me when I am traveling on the road. Takes up no space and so far they all have been very reliable for me. It beats the heck out of the old school external drives that were as heavy as a brick and the size of a dictionary. The 2TB My Passport external hard drives take up pretty much no space and are very convenient to hook up to one's laptop and download or access one's digital photos or files. I have not had any issues with any of the 2TB My Passport external drives and will keep purchasing them.

I just retired my 2 WD 2TB external drives that I purchased in 2013 and they were still operating without any problems, no failures. It was time to update and upgrade and based on my years of experience with WD, I purchased the 8TB version and... so far, so good as I expected. It's definitely a value purchase.
