I have no choice but to rate this ink cartridge with 5 stars. Without it, I wouldn't be able to use my HP Printer. The price is so high for all of their ink, I might just toss this printer and get another brand. I'll use the rest of my ink and then that's it. To have this kind of control over HP users is criminal. 5 |

I bought this printer to replace my old HP 3830. First, Epson still has an installation disk to install the printer drivers and software. The installation CD works. Installation and setup was almost boring. Do not lose this disk. The printer side works well. The extending printer tray is a bit of a gimmick but if it works, great. This is my first day running the printer. I'm not sure how well it does with ink consumption but a full set of XL ink cartridges costs less than their competitor. First surprise. The XP-7100 can print disk labels. I haven't had a printer do this is years but who knows; I may need it. The printer has two trays. The second tray is intended for photo paper. I'm going to try using it for printing envelopes and index cards. Current printers are focusing on printing on wireless printing. Frankly I haven't bothered but I may try it with this printer. I use my scanner a lot. The XP-7100 scanner software is flexible and easy to use. The XP-7100 is noticeably faster than my old HP. This morning I was able to run through about 6 weeks of scanning in less than 4 hours. The double sided scanner works well with both single sided and double sided scanning. You can save in multiple formats including a searchable PDF file. The real question is how well will the XP-7100 hold up. I've used and frankly abused Epson printers over the years. They've held up well. The XP-7100 is in good company. 5 |

Without a doubt have been using HP since well forever. The hard part is always letting go of my previous HP plotter because some new update in windows will not let me use. But always buy HP, and from HP, best plotters for Design and Construction industry. 5 |
