I have several of these devices and while they're a little slower than some external drives I've owned, they've been very reliable. I use then as backups for images, videos, data. Nice little units. 5 |

I purchased two of these 4TB drives to use as backups for my Lightroom files. I have a 3.5 inch 4 TB external hard drive on my desktop and use these compact 2.5 inch hard drives to keep additional backups in other locations (work plus my daughter's home). They work great with Carbon Copy Cloner for making incremental backups periodically. I've tried the cloud storage option (Backblaze) but even with a high speed internet connection it takes weeks to establish the initial backup and my bandwidth is always being taxed. I prefer having my essential backups more local and under my control. These Western Digital external drives are fast and efficient and so affordable. 5 |

Very reliable product, used other external/internal hard drives but always came back to Western Digital do to quality of the product. Had a two TG Passport, but it was filling up so went to the 5 GB passport, always go for a larger drive then you think you need without having to purchase another within 6 months 5 |
