It's hard to review a hard drive when you just got it, but I do have to say that I had a full drive scan done on both HDDs that I got and neither had any bad sectors out of the box so that's good news. Furthermore, they aren't very loud which is something that you have to think about with these faster rpm drives. 5 |

I just added the WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive to my� back up solution (6 hard drives) and Windows 10.� I disconnected the power and USB cable from a full WD hard drive and replaced it with this new drive and fired it up. It works great, just like I would expect from Western Digital. 5 |

I have been using these drives in my external disk arrays with RAID1 software driven backup. They are awesome for media servers and over the years I have had only 1WD drive failure. I went to WD after having 4 Seagate drives fail in a row. BH always provides great pricing. 5 |

This 1TB Western Digital portable hard disk drive was obtained for the purpose of providing system-wide data backup for an Apple iMac. It served the purpose perfectly. After after a very quick delivery of the product it was simply a matter of plugging it into the iMac (with the included USB cable). The OS X software immediately recognized the device and, after asking if it was appropriate, configured and started the backup software to use it. It was plug 'n play in action. 5 |
