Reno Digital Video Recorder Remote Controller

I bought this remote controller to attempt closeups of hummingbirds without a blind. Being new to digital photography, I was about ready to pitch the thing until I finally figured out that I have to disable the Automatic Power Off feature on the Canon XSi camera for the remote controller to work. Once that light bulb came on, I began to realize what a handy little device the RC6 really is.

This remote controller works great. I use it to shoot the night sky. The fact that it has a digital screen and lights up, I can set it for any amount of time and even set different settings on my camera. The only thing that is not so great is that it stays on. There is no switch to turn it off. The only thing to do is take out the battery.

I use this item for remote the Zoom H4n portable Digital recorder. It is easy to use. The bonus is come with 3 meter extension cable. It make me very happy and enough length to control.

The case is being used for my SONY.. digital HD video camera recorder. It is big so that it will fix and room for digital camera, the ligths, etc... So far (4-5) producer, would like to have one now.

For any photographer that is the best remote controller, this product is a must!

The battery is for my son's digital video recorder. It was used extensively for only about 10 days and worked very well, no complains. What will happen later we don't know but hope for best.

For years I was using $3k digital recorder to transfer video from my DVR to my computer for editing & posting to social media. The Elgato device gets the job done at a fraction of the cost.

I specifically purchased the Tascam recorders because of the wired remote. I thought I would automate turning on an off the recorder along with my video set up. However, the RC-10 uses this SC73P1601 chip that somewhat complicated things. I still managed to hack the remote and pins 8 and 13 of the chip are used for the 'record' button. All the buttons contacts needed can be easily accessed on the circuit board however I didn't bother with the other buttons. Its been tested and now the recorder starts and pauses recording along with my video camera that it provides sound to.
