Replace Toner Cartridge In Brother Printer

Love my Brother printer and the ease of toner cartridge changing!

Machine worked great for first 2 weeks, then started showing a gray background on printed pages. That continued for a month when I called Brother customer service and explained the problem. They sent me a 2 page instruction to correct the problem. Followed directions and no solution achieved. I figured it was either the toner cartridge or the drum assembly. Called Brother again and the tech said I would have to purchase a new toner cart. since that was a consumable and not under warranty. He then said if I had purchased directly from Brother, they would replace the cartridge but because I did not purchase directly from them, they could not replace the cartridge. I then asked for a supervisor, explained situation, and he stated they would send me a new cartridge; that Brother would honor my warranty no matter where I purchased the machine. Couple days later, a new cartridge arrived and my machine has worked flawlessly since.

This is the first time in decades that I've installed a toner cartridge without getting any toner on me or my clothing! It also took less than 5 minutes to take out the old cartridge and replace it with the new one. Brother's website has a video if you need to see how to do the installation. The cartridge comes with a prepaid mailer to ship the used cartridge for recycling, so it's eco friendly as well :-)

It was easy to install into the printer. It is very much worth paying a little more for. I like that the cartridge is recyclable for environmental purposes.

Must have toner for your Brother laser printer. Not worth the hassle to try knock off toner cartridges - believe me, I've tried! The cheap price is tempting, but half the time the printer doesn't recognize the cartridge! B&H always has the best price and shipping and if you live outside NY, no sales tax. Bought locally once - that's was all it took to check out B&H. I will never buy anywhere else. High Yield cartridge is the best buy.

I bought a Brother HL-L6200DW printer that came with a 3000-page toner cartridge built-in, so it will be a while before I actually try this toner cartridge. From what I understand, this cartridge is good for 12000 pages, so it should cover my needs for a long while after the original has been depleted.

I've had this Brother printer for several years, and I always buy the Brother brand toner cartridge. It's amazing how long it lasts. They also also allow you to return the old cartridge for recycling free of charge. No complaints--just what I need.

I purchased a new Brother office color printer to replace my old Samsung printer that died after nearly 10 years. I previously bought my toner from the local office supply shop but at the time, when one of the colors emptied, they did not have to replacement cartridge in stock. Having purchased almost all of my photography equipment from B&H, I took a chance and checked with B&H online. Not only did they have the toner cartridge I needed in stock, but their price was substantially lower than the office supply shop. Free shipping just added the icing on the cake.
