Replace Ups Battery With Lithium

I’ve been wanting a smaller Lithium-Ion battery powered UPS, and it’s FINALLY HERE! With up to a reduction of up to 47% in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) over the lifetime of the UPS, it’s almost a no-brainer. This smaller version of the larger SMTL1500RM3UC takes up slightly less rack space (2U instead of 3U) to mount this new unit, and the chassis DEPTH is still only 12 inches!!! Pure sine wave output waveform and Cloud enabled “Smart Connect” makes for an almost perfect 750VA UPS. I love it!!!

It only takes a few minutes to replace the battery and the UPS is now passing self tests.

This lithium battery is very reliable.

I was very pleasantly surprised that my replacement battery was delivered to my door by courrier within 48 hr of my on-line order, which was placed on a weekend. This was the first time that I had ever tried replacing a battery instead to just buying a new UPS unit. None of the retailers selling APC products carry replacement batteries, and since I live in Canada, I expected that the cost of bringing in a replacement battery would exceed the cost of a new unit.. and be bogged down with customs duties.. etc. Battery was actually shipped from a nearby Canadian distributor. It is certainly more environmentally-friendly to replace a battery rather that throwing out a perfectly good UPS system. APC should do more to inform Canadian customers how easy it is (& cost -effective) to replace batteries. Perhaps include battery replacement information in packaging for new units.

After four years of service it was time to replace the battery packs in the two UPS' I have backing up my network. This was a good deal at $99.99 (x2) and free expedited shipping! The batteries were well packed to avoid damage. Also prefer UPS/FedEx over other shippers that often miss-handle packages containing fragile parts etc.

The basic ups device has years of life yet. Being able to replace the failed battery easily and affordably is the perfect solution to battery aging. I've replaced UPS batteries before and expect to do it again as needed.

Bought to replace a dead battery in my APC Back-UPS ES 725. Appears to work fine. Great price!!!!

These batteries are pretty easy to replace from the front of the UPS. Just a few screws and the battery slides out, and the new one slide right in. In my experience these batteries last for around 18 months before needing to be replaced.

Bought this UPS several weeks ago to replace a unit that was several years old due to the battery failing to charge. The unit purchased is the current model of the one it replaced but with a few more features. Fortunately the new unit arrived and was operating a couple of days before our most recent power failure and the devices attached continued to function with out hiccup until the power was restored.

I've been using the same APC UPS for about 9 years. Every 3 years, I replace the battery. I've tried the generics, and they simply don't last. The genuine parts DO last. What more can you ask from a battery?
