After buying a new external hard drive, I bought this unit with an external power supply so the hard drive wasn't running off the PC's power supply. I don't have any 3.0 ports on my Toshiba Satellite but the hub and everything connected to it doesn't mind. A very convenient device. 5 |

I just added the WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive to my� back up solution (6 hard drives) and Windows 10.� I disconnected the power and USB cable from a full WD hard drive and replaced it with this new drive and fired it up. It works great, just like I would expect from Western Digital. 5 |

I am using this case to store my WD 2TB My Passport External Hard Drive. The cover is semi rigid which provides some protection against accidentally banging the hard drive, although I would not want to drop the hard drive. It also provides a separate area for storing the USB cable which comes with the hard dive. Very convenient. 5 |

I've had several WD external drives. All have been portable, and never have they failed although they do get a bit warm. This is the first one with its own power supply which keeps them cool. It's formatted for Mac 5 |

I've had bad luck with *other brand* external drives, so I decided to try the WD 2 TB My Passport drive this time. I couldn't be happier with it. It was quick to copy and load all the contents of my other external drive. It seems more rugged than the previous one (replacement for a replacement for a replacement), and I like the small size and light weight. I'll likely buy another at some point. I also want to mention B&H's excellent customer service. 5 |
