Residential Surveillance Camera Audio Pa

WD 10Tb HDD is a good economical solution for a recorder in a residential surveillance system. 5 |

I do custom audio, video and network sales and installations in the residential market and have been using these Slim Ethernet cables regularly. Some of the advantages are when bundled in either a rack or cabinet they are able to be bent at a slightly smaller radius as the diameter is smaller, they are lighter weight so less strain on the device they are connected to and the smaller size takes up less wire management space. The other great thing is that they are available in one foot lengths. 5 |

I'm using it for concerts, where it improves footage that previously looked more like a surveillance camera! 5 |

I'm using SM57 for recording music or speech etc. in a small hall with setting mic stands in front of speakers. For a video shooter like me, audio quality is really important. In the case of live recording, getting a line signal from a PA mixer is ideal, however, sometimes it is better to stand SM57 in front of speakers, because the balance of signal and surrounding noise is awesome, so it can be heard more naturally than a PA line. SM57 and SM58 are the most reliable mics. I don't need to say so anymore. Of course, the audio quality is super clear and the metal body is so stable. The mic stand and cable including this bundle are also enough stable for this price. 5 |

This is one of those things that you've been missing for years. I shoot frequently in comedy clubs, and they have a wide range of in-house sound gear and it's not always great. Some places even plug a mic straight into the PA. This awesome little box allows me to pull a feed from any XLR mic before it goes into the PA, which means I get a nice clean audio track in my recorder with no effects and the club is none the wiser. Just mix that with some audio from a couple of SM57s set up to capture audience sound and you're in business. It's also nice that I can use it as a combiner should I ever be short an input on my recorder or my camera. I haven't had to do this in the field yet, but I've tested it at home and it works great. It's passive, so you don't need batteries or mains, and you even get phase and lift if you need them depending on your situation. The only downside is that, especially in a dark club, it's almost impossible to read the labels. I just used some neon pink spike tape to relabel mine. Oh, and that price? You can't argue with that price. You should probably get two, just in case. 5 |

Needed to connect laptop computer headphone audio out to a PA system for a presentation on photography. AV chaps told me that a transformer was necessary to connect the laptop to the PA's microphone input along with the necessary cable adapters. The AV guys provided me with a DI box to do the job - it did. But I bought one of these for testing and it worked every bit as well as the DI box. It's a keeper. 5 |
