Reverse Image Search Portfolio

This is my second C920s webcam. It has great features and a beautiful image. It's basically plug & play right out of the box, with one major exception. I immediately realized that the image is reversed upon plugging the webcam in. Why the default image is reversed kind of blows my mind. There were no directions on how to reverse the image. I went on the Logitech website and searched for a solution. Nada. I searched Google, too. All the solutions were complicated and convoluted. I ended up downloading 2 or 3 programs that didn't solve my problem. Since this is my second C920s, I went back to my first installation of this webcam on my other PC. The image was right on. So, I checked and I have a program called Logitech Capture. I checked its settings, and sure enough, under the Source 1 settings there's an Advanced Settings slider. Sliding that to On opens up another set of settings. One of them is horizontally flip source. Checking that check box flips the image to the proper point of view. Why Logitech would reverse the default image is beyond me. And, why they don't provide instructions on how to flip the image is crazy. Anyway, just downloading this simple (free) program from the Logitech website solves the issue. All is well. I'm very happy with the webcam now.

I just finished printing a portfolio with this paper using an Epson P800 printer. I'm delighted by the results. This is a lightly-textured, matte, Japanese Washi paper. It fed through the printer without problem. Awagami's downloadable ICC profile worked well, although the generic Epson matte paper profile did to. There was some softening of image contrast and color saturation as you'd expect, so don't think of this as a general-purpose paper. For me it worked better with images that didn't have lots of dark areas. This paper is also rather delicate. You have to match the right image to it for it to really make sense, especially given its price. But if you want a paper with a certain tactile quality, this is a beautiful choice.

I have an 8x10 size as well as this 5x7. I use them as a way to have a physical portfolio and to store prints that I was testing how the image would look printed vs on screen.

As you know filters help with image quality during the day. I was in search of filters for my new GoPro Hero 9 and decided to go with the Freewell 4K series. I'm glad I did, they are well built, and do exactly what I bought them for. I would highly recommend. - JM
