Right Eye Dominant Shooting

As a left eye dominant shooter, this eyecup really helps make shooting more comfortable.

I am a non-squinter and having this for my dominant eye while getting the rest of the scene with the other eye is a perfect combination.

Heavy duty, quality fit and finish, attention to detail and options for quick release and handle mount are sweet. This works awesome with the front shutter closed for right eye and superimposes onto the image of my dominant left eye. (I'm a right handed shooter with a dominant left eye and a tendancy to cross so I cant look through the glass with both eyes open or I get double vision.) SO FREAKING COOL!

I shoot with my left, dominant, eye. Other products don't rotate after installation on the eyepiece, this one does. Blocks out peripheral light nicely on my Sony a9.

I used to look through the viewfinder with my left (dominant) eye and had a hard time breaking the habit.  I purchased the Hoodeye and it helped me to shoot using my right eye.  You can turn the Eyecup either way so you can shoot with either eye.  It is a quality item and fits on my Nikon D850 perfectly.  I have purchased these as gifts for professional photographer friends of mine and they love them too.
