I finally made the decision to get a brass step up ring. When I was looking for one besides which size to fit for my lenses and filters, I noticed this brand of Sensei. I was worried as they did not have as many reviews from other brands and I had never heard of them. What I loved about the design was the beveled edge to be more easier to screw on and off in addition of the brass resilience to prevent getting stuck in cold weather condition. Having it come in a hard polymer case was also a nice feature as well. While I have not tested this ring in a cold weather condition with my filter, I have read the temperatures between brass and aluminum between and noticed that brass has a higher melting temperature to resistance chance its size from condition. In the past, I had a generic aluminum step up ring and would only have trouble unscrewing it in cold or winding condition. It came to be frustrating to a point I wanted to get a replacement. 5 |
