Rip Dvd To Computer Windows 7

As many of the other reviewers of this product mention, I too went to search for a driver. After wasting time doing that, I realized that when I restarted my computer, it just magically recognized the device and when I inserted a DVD, or CD, I was able to burn them to my computer. It seems to work on my Windows 7 and Mac operating systems just fine. I have a MacBook Pro without a built-in CD/DVD drive, so this works nicely. I am running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 (mac) and Windows 7 in Parallels and have been able to burn discs nicely. I would advise forgetting about the usual driver headache that we come to expect when we get new devices and if your computer does not recognize/"see" the device in Finder (mac) or Explorer (windows) when you first plug it in, try a restart and try to plug it in and start playing with it! Sometimes we like to complicate things that do not ask to be complicated...at least that was my experience.

Needed a DVD drive to rip some of my collection for digital access. Even though it's USB 2.0, my iMac is able to rip DVDs faster than my old computer with a built-in optical drive, so I can't imagine the transfer is bottlenecking it too much. Other than that, it does what it needs to do at a great value price.

I purchased a gaming laptop from B&H and yet it had no DVD drive so I needed one to rip, burn and play movies. I used it for 2 months straight and experienced no problems. It copies (non-protected) DVD's and reads and writes flawlessly. Highly recommended.

Yes, I still play cds and dvd movies. I am glad I got this drive to rip and burn cds and watch my old dvds. Nice option since the MacBook Pro has no drive.

Worked great with my Windows 10 laptop. I did not need to use the Driver DVD.

I use these DVD's all the time to back up important stuff from my computer, I also have an online backup, but the dvd's are muck quicker access. I love them.

I could not upgrade the firmware from Godox through my windows 10. So after a computer professional looked over the situation said that Windows 10 would not recognize the upgrade due to the time Godox wrote the firmware upgrade. He used Windows 7 and the firmware upgrade worked.
