I wanted another Varizoom controller but did not want to spend the money on the additional features of the Rock control. I am pleased to report this RL100 has the same super smooth control I get from my more expensive Varizoom Rock control. It also has an LED indicator for recording that you do not see on the other China brands that cost about the same.

I already own the VZ rock controller which has never let me down, I needed another realiable unit for new Sony NX3 but without all the extras as i only ever used the Zoom and record on the VZ Rock, this model is ideal for what i needed just plug it in and your off very smooth, the light comes on red indicating recording and starts flashing warning you of battery low or other camera problems.
