Rode Microphone Background Noise

I recently got this Wireless GO II setup and have already used it 3+ times this week. It was an effortless set up when I was doing interviews outside in the freezing cold with some skiers. The RODE set up was able to effectively record different track channels from two different people talking, while also blocking out background noise and wind. The battery life is probably the best thing about this setup. I've used it for maybe 4-5 hrs. and still have not had to charge it. The only thing that would be a little nicer if it was even a bit smaller (hopefully this tech. will come in near future), and if it were able to automatically block out some more background noise. I know this is hard to do, but it may be on the RODE path for future devices. These transmitters can also hook up to lavalier RODE mics, so all I had to do was go into my camera setting, change the audio setting from Mic to Remote, and voila - the RODE wireless GO II was then recording with my lavalier mic. The main reason I would use this is so the big block of a transmitter doesn't have to go on the interviewee's shirt; the lavalier is just a tiny thing on the edge of a collar. Otherwise, the mics on these Wireless GO II devices are pretty much the same in quality!

The Rode Lavalier Mic picks up your voice exceptionally even just using with my smart phone. It blocks out some background noise depending on the volume of the background noise. All in all was very satisfied. The only negative is the exceptionally short wire. I had to go and buy the extension cable so I am not restricted to such a short distance from the camera.

I have a RODE NT-1 Condenser microphone, which is a very good microphone, with a very nice sound for human voices. However, I was having to use the NT-1 in a room that is not sound proof and the NT-1 is VERY sensitive to background noises. After much research I decided to order the Shure SM7B and I am very pleased. I combined the SM7B with a FetHead inline preamp feeding into my RODECaster Pro. The signal is very clean, dramatic drop in background noise pickup, and the SM7B has a superb sound for voices. Add in the form factor on a boom arm is much less intrusive in front of the face than the NT-1 with the pop filter in place is and it makes using the SM7B much nicer when the camera is turned on. All in all a very positive purchase, would not hesitate getting a second (or third) SM7B if I needed to do a multi person web cast, or recording.

I sought a practical solution for tutoring and meetings. Not only does the microphone block all the background noise, but the 3mm jack for cell phone provides additional convenience for important phone calls.

Quality is great, hearing is great, even noise cancellation is great. The microphone does pick up some background noise, but only if the background noise is just as loud as you are. Works well in a bullpen.

I use this microphone to interview people for a promotional video. It helped to limit the background noise and focus in on the individual's voice. I have not experienced anything negative with this product.

This is the the best microphone to record videos on your phones and tablets. The audio quality is % lit, also the background noise dosen't come in the video, it's just epic, I really love it.

Easy volume control, small size so it doesn't take up a ton of space, literally plug and play and the noise cancelling is surprisingly good! I've got a lot of fans in the background as well as 3 noisy dogs and I cant pick up any of that background noise. Voice comes in clear with no static and easily understandable. Great product!

Got this microphone to cut out background noise while I am on meetings for work. Great directional microphone. Setup was simple.

I saw the microphone in action and I love it especially reducing the background noise and went it came I tested it for myself. And oh my gosh with want came in the kit was worth it I never heard the background at all even with the door wide open just note the analog box needs to be turned down a lot but I can hear myself loud and clear and dont need to stand so close neither but be warned the microphone is so powerful of picking up stuff actually recorded me moving around but for those who want to record voice acting or Livestreaming get this one its a done deal good luck
