Rode Microphone Lightning Adapter

In order to use my old iPhone 5c with the Rode Micro microphone, this cable was necessary. I adapted it to my iPhone 7 lightning port as a test and it didn't work. I didn't investigate because the plan was to use the mic with the old phone anyway, so it might have worked and could have been my set up.

I use the microphone adapter with the hero 5 often with the Rode Microphone to make videos. This product is great asset to my videography pursuits.

A must-have to connect to your iPhone 7, 8, & X. In my case my 6-month old Apple Lightning to headphone adapter didn't work; once I replaced it with a new one this Rode cable worked properly. BONUS: Check out the Rode SC6 to add a headphone output to the input chain!

If you have Rode mics this allows you to convert them and use them with your smart phone. I’ve used this adapter on a number of different iPhones with a lightning port adapter. It allows you to create a powerful wireless microphone solution.

This adapter allowed me to put my Rode microphone with a 3/8 connector to my Auray microphone. Simple but effective.
