Rode Microphone Not Recording

Handles the heavy Rode's NT4 Microphone without issue and makes recording worry free when the wind kicks up. Comes with most everything you need to record outdoors. CONS: I wished it was available with a 5 pin XLR cable included for the NT4 mic which uses a 5 Pin. It arrives outfitted with a standard 3 pin XLR.

The RODE NTG3 Mic Recording Kit is an exceptional investment for any audio professional or enthusiast seeking top-tier sound quality. From the moment I began using this microphone, I was blown away by its performance and versatility. The NTG3 microphone itself is a marvel of engineering. Its broadcast-quality sound is clear, rich, and detailed, capturing audio with remarkable precision. The mic's RF-bias technology ensures superior resistance to moisture, making it a reliable choice for challenging environments, whether you're recording outdoors or in humid conditions. The low self-noise level is impressive, allowing for clean and professional audio recordings every time. The build quality of the NTG3 is equally impressive. It's solid and durable, designed to withstand the rigors of field recording and studio use. The microphone's sleek design and lightweight construction make it easy to handle and position, enhancing its usability across various applications.

The Rode NTG4+ is the perfect shotgun microphone for recording high-quality interviews. It has a nicely balanced sound quality with both warm and crisp tonality. Definitely a step above the NTG2 in quality. Its ability to provide self-power through its internal rechargeable battery or phantom power makes this mic a real workhorse in my audio arsenal. Make sure to purchase a Rode lyre shock mount that ensures vibration-free use on boom poles and mic stands.

I've been recording in the music industry for decades. This microphone has the quality of something twice its price. I bought these for podcasting purposes and wanted a quality microphone but for a reasonable budget. It was between the RODE and Sure SM7B which most podcasters use. The Sure was close to double to price and the sound is similar. Also, since the RODE is a condenser, you can boost the output using phantom power. You can't with the Sure, you need a separate booster. Also, it's sounds amazing for recording amps, vocals (really good!), and acoustic guitar. If you do not have the budget for a $1,000.00 microphone, this is a versatile workhorse.

This mic is just incredibly awesome!!!! Out of this world! Yes it's huge but so its quality of recording. Looks very professional, because is a professional microphone. Before I bought it I read, and read and watched lots of videos about this microphone; and all reviews said that the quality of recording and versatility of recording modes is superb, but it's too huge and though sturdy, the controls were wobbly. But when I recieved it it was out of my expectations. I expected the size of the mic, but I was overwhelmed by the quality of recording, it's cristal clear. In my mic the controls aren't wobbly, still plastic controls though. The awesome thing of this microphone vs other professional USB mics like the Rode Podcaster is the versatility of recording patterns. Like the Rode it also has a zero-latency headphone jack, with volume control, and with cardoid mode. Unlike the Rode it is not only a cardoid mic, it is also a omnidirectional, bidirectional and STEREO mic. Also unlike the Rode it has something very very important; adjustable gain. Also has an included yoke stand. Best of all is cheaper than the Rode. Conclusion: Buy it.I recommend buying in bundle with SHURE SRH240 headphone, a deal only offered in B&H.
