Rode Nt4 Studio Microphone

Handles the heavy Rode's NT4 Microphone without issue and makes recording worry free when the wind kicks up. Comes with most everything you need to record outdoors. CONS: I wished it was available with a 5 pin XLR cable included for the NT4 mic which uses a 5 Pin. It arrives outfitted with a standard 3 pin XLR. 5 |

I current own a total of seven other microphones, which ranged in price from about $100 to $400.00. They include the Rode NT3, Sennheiser MKE with Cardioid and Omni capsules, Rode Stereo Video Mic, Shure SM57 & 58, Audio Technica 822, ect. The Rode NT4 is a dramatically better sounding mic than all of then in comparable situations. The quality of my live environment recordings has greatly improved since I started using this mic. From loud rock bands to mellow string quartets, this mic excels. Spend a little more, get a lot more. The Rode NT4 is a great mic, perhaps even a steal at the current price. Buy it now! 5 |

Love this mount for my Tascam Portacapture x8 recorder and also my RODE NT4. Great little mount but expensive and it works! 5 |

Dead Kitten fits nice and snug over the foam (wind shield?) of my Rode-NT4. Works great in any wind under about 20-25mph! 5 |

The Rode m2 microphone is excellent... It's well-made, has a great sound whether for a live performance or in a studio, podcast, voice over, etc. It has a sharp, steady, smooth sound… if you use it with a moderate gain and not too close to the microphone, you get a natural sound similar to Shure’s Sm7b, and actually it’s like Rode nt1’s younger brother but with a boxier sound that could be much improved with a bit of editing and EQ. Even with the small membrane that the condenser has, it’s quite powerful and doesn’t make any notable noise… it comes with great accessories and… well, it’s a Rode!! 5 |

I am an audiobook narrator and use this for my Rode NT1-A microphone in my personal professional studio. It was easy to assemble and is very sturdy, not flimsy like others out there. I like the height adjustable feature too. I highly recommend! 5 |

I always liked the sound of a Sennheiser microphone and used Audio Technica and Rode shotguns in studio. There is nothing wrong with the Rode NTG2, or the Audio Technica mics I own. I just wanted some industry standard sound in the studio. I was using a Neumann U87 for voice overs until today. I compared the two and the MKH-416 had an instantly usable sound with little to no eq. The bass is more pronounced on the shotgun mic as well. On drums, I used a pair as overheads but further away from the drum set than normal. I could pick up the details of the brushes on the snare head with incredible detail and the balance of the drums were nice and full. I was very impressed and am glad I picked up a pair when they were on sale! If you find a good price for them, it's an amazing mic to add to your collection. 5 |
