Rode Ntg 2 Microphone Review

Love the Rode NTG-1 Condenser Microphone. I use it with my Canon Mark 2 5 |

Great value for money. I use a Rode NTG-1 microphone with this pole and mostly at full extension. That is where I would expect to see flaws in a cheaper pole but this pole performs brilliantly. No more flexing than you would expect and very comfortable handgrip. I see another reviewer mentioned that he could not attach his microphone to the pole but the pole I received had plenty of thread to screw my mic mount to. I am very happy with the pole only be prepared to also purchase the boom pole clips as well. The audio cable from the microphone does not run through tbd middle of the pole. 5 |

I bought this for my NTG-2 Rode shotgun microphone, and it fit perfectly. I don't get any unwanted sound and it does a great job. I'd say this is a must-have for any NTG-2 owner. 5 |

Perfect fit for the NX3's built-in shotgun holder, paired with Rode NTG-3 microphone. I used all 10 rings to get the best hold. 5 |

So far this has been an excellent microphone. The Rode NTG-1 paired with the Tascam DR-60d is a killer combination. 5 |

The Rode NTG 2 became my outdoor mic to compliment my Oktava mod MK12 condenser microphone. It has performed well and with it's battery power, can plug right into my iPhone4 (with the right cable) for quickly recording some foley in a pinch. 5 |

I bought this XLR cable to 3.5mm connector so that I could use my Rode NTG-2 microphone with a Atomos Ninja V. It works perfectly, great sounding results. 5 |

I bought a Sony HXRMC2000U and replaced the microphone with a RODE NTG-2 mic. The RODE is a smaller diameter mic than the one that comes with the MC2000U, the ROCS Rubber O-Rings by Sanken slipped securely over the RODE Mic and made the mic fit tightly in the Sony Microphone holder. I also bought the Beachtek DXA-SLR PRO XLR Adapter for the RODE mic to plug into. I also plug my Sony UWP-V1 into the second XLR connection and can run the RODE and the Sony lav at the same time, capturing the ambient noise with the RODE and the voice with the Sony Lav. 5 |

I bought this with Rode NTG-2 to use with my Canon T3i. This is great if you intend to plug a microphone mounted on your DSLR or camera. The chord is short so if you intended to use it for anything else you will need to get an extention. 5 |

I switch to this microphone for my YouTube recordings from a Rode NTG-2 and I am very pleased with the results. I use an audient iD14 for my audio interface. The preamps in the audient work really well at getting levels perfect. I also have used it with my ZoomH4n, powering the XLR off a plugged in Zoom and it is acceptable, with a little more work in post. 5 |
