Rode Or Dji Mic

I'll be honest I was trying to hold out for the DJI Mic system that has yet to be released. I already had the Go Mic 1 by rode so I knew this one would provide quality audio as well. The audio is solid and consistent with Rode quality. I would prefer dials as opposed to buttons to modify leveling although I do realize the benefit of the buttons reduces accidental changes. If I realize in a moment one mic is too light it would be nice to simply dial it up a little rather than potentially shaking the camera trying to raise it. The mics do a decent job although replacing them with higher end mics could be good depending on your purpose. Might reduce post efforts. I like the fact the mics record on their own internally although I dont like the fact that you have to use Rode software to offload them unlike the DJI Mic system that is supposed to work more like a SD card and you can simply pull them off no software needed. Again, they are good mics and very light so easy to deal with on the talent but if i had my choices I would get the DJI system once it comes out. I do like the fact these are made in Australia rather than China.

After initially wanting the Rode Go II mic, I decided against it and when with the DJI mic set. No regrets in that purchase - but Rode definitely has better versatility of their cables. Now I can use the DJI mic with the Insta360 Flow gimbal - which I could not do with the provided DJI cables.

Works awesome with the Rode Video Mic Go. It works well and is long enough to be used with the DJI mobile gimbal and the rode video mic go.

Must have accessory for DJI Mic 2.
