Rode Psa 1 Microphone Stand

I had a rode PSA-1 for about a year but it was obstructing my view of my dual monitor set up this arm eliminates that problem. The counter balance is great I tend to hold my mic if I'm not gaming when talking to friends and this easily moves out o the way silently. Yes, it's expensive but it's much better than a vivo arm in my opinion. Much better cable management solution as well. It feels quality but has the price to match. If you're budget allows this should be the last mic arm you ever need.

This has to be the best boom arm money can buy. It takes all the good stuff from the rode PSA boom arm but makes it better. The spring isn't as aggressive so having a lighter mic is no problem. Only thing I'm not a fan off is the huge rode logo on the sleeves the boom arm comes with now, but aside that it's perfect.

I was deciding between this arm and the Rode PSA, but in the end there were several consistent complaints about the Rode that made me steer to the Auray. After having the BAI-2N for about a month, I'm extremely happy with the purchase. The arm seems very sturdy and has had no trouble at all supporting the various mics I've hung from it, including the Rode PodMic, which any review will tell you is a real chunky boi of a mic. The desk clamp is also stiffer than I was expecting, and the arm is well tensioned so that it takes some effort to reposition and stays in place well once you've got it set. I have noticed absolutely no noise from the springs, which is great as I have friends with much cheaper arms that will accidentally slap their mic or arm and I can hear the springs vibrating over our VOIP call. The only issue is that there's a tiny bit of play in the base that lets the arm pitch back and forth a small bit, but it's pretty negligible and once you add the weight of a mic and cable to the arm, it becomes hard to notice unless you're looking for it.

This thing is a tank.  I was looking for a desk stand for my Rode NT1 microphone and was worried about the weight tipping it over.  With the extra counter balance and heavier stand, this stand holds it perfectly.  I can extend it all the way out.  Very sturdy and well made. I would highly recommend.

I needed to mount a Rode microphone to a light stand to record audience questions, and this cold shoe screwed directly onto the stand. I love how I can only install the mounted device in one direction so that it doesn't slide out the other end.

This microphone stand is sturdy and is perfect for my Rode Podmic. I was concerned but I am glad I purchased this stand, worth the money. Stable product.

In the entertainment business, I regularly have 3 to 5 Video meetings per day, so I began upgrading my a/v equipment. People mentioned a hissing sound from my laptop mic, so I ordered the Rode NT-USB Microphone. It's a great mic, but I wasn't happy with the plastic stand that came with it as I had to put it next to my laptop, which interfered with viewing my external monitor. So I ordered the Auray TT-6220 Telescoping Tabletop Microphone Stand to move the mic above the laptop screen. The stand is well built and much heavier than expected, which is good for stability. It raises the mic high enough to place the stand behind my laptop screen so it's not in the way of it or my external monitor. At the same time, I ordered the Auray Shockmount for Rode Podcast Mics and Mics with M20 Thread to hold the mic and eliminate vibration from the desk. Together with the stand, they work flawlessly! I've recently ordered the Auray RF-PBO-16 Premium Reflection Filter partly for background noise reduction, but also to counter balance the mic.

I ordered the Rode Podcaster microphone for mainly podcasting and radio interviews to be recorded at home. With the offer of the Kit that B & H offered it just made life easy for me. The mic stand by Auray is excellent, not just good. In fact, it seemed stronger than the Rode mic stand equivalent that I could have bought separately. I am so happy with this purchase and will continue to look to B & H for these kinds of Kits which are well thought out!
