This is my first pro level shotgun that replaced my Rode VideoMic. I filming largely dog agility sports indoor as well as outdoor. Although shotgun are not really directional by design, NTG 3 serve my purpose very well up to 150 feet away from my subject. Buy a Rode Blimp for $ is a now brainer for someone waiting to invest in a good shotgun. Do it now. When my Blimp was delivered, its design, easy of use blew me away. I wonder how Rode make money for that price.... I will be testing NTG3 with its Blimp when weather is kind. 5 |

Better sound quality than my old shotgun or the older generation rode videomic pro. Changes to shockmount and rechargeable battery (that indicates how much charge it has left) are great. 5 |

Bought the Rode VideoMic Pro shotgun to record our child's band performances, which includes outdoor performances - very few of which have been in calm weather. I find this wind cover does a great job of diminishing wind noise when recording in breezy conditions. Made for this microphone, it fits quite snugly and seems to be sonically transparent. 5 |

We received the new Rode VideoMic Pro Plus microphone a few weeks back. I made some test-recordings, and also on live interview to date. Thankfully, the ProPlus was very easy to to setup and use the very first time. I'd (like others) don't have too much time to read into the details at first. We followed the Sony recommended setup for external mics, and it worked the first time-- like a charm. The auto-on, auto-off option is very helpful. All my extras on the Sony A6300 have to remember powering on that darn button. Saves my batteries. I'd recommend the Rode VideoMic Pro Plus for all my friends! 5 |

Perfect fit for my Rode VideoMic Pro microphone, and it really shines during outdoor filming. I thought it was a nice accessory, but after using it I know it's a necessity for outdoor projects. 5 |

I recently upgraded from the Videomic Pro to the Videomic Pro Plus. Naturally, to go along with the new, bigger sized microphone, I wanted an appropriate sized deadcat for it, and saw that there is this new one made by Rode themselves specifically for this model of microphone, so I bought one. It’s perfect. It’s not your typical sock type deadcat that is just placed over the mic itself, but it’s a completely different attachment designed for the VMP+ to replace the foam windscreen that’s on the mic originally. You just slide the foam one off, and this one fits perfectly in its place. Avoid that Auray one which is just a sock! Get this one made by Rode. 5 |
