The regular C-Stand is a bit high for me, the rolling stand free me between two setting easily. Very Sturdy, Great design.

Perfect for adding extra length to an appliance, useful for TV on a rolling stand.

This base is a fantastic value and an excellent alternative to a normal C-stand Turtle base. I use primarily with a 20 Riser to slide a fill light under the subject's chin during portrait sessions. See example photo BUT.... This base is NOT stable when used with booms and high or heavy loads. The wheels are tiny and will be stopped by every pebble or sidewalk crack. The footprint of the base is actually 2-3 smaller than a Matthew's Turtle Base so whatever you load on this base is going to be MORE tippy than on a C-Stand even before you start rolling. Once the stand is rolling... DANGER. Definitely buy these bases to replace turtle bases but don't confuse them with something like the Matthew's Runway base. To prove my point - Kupo's own booms use a different base with a larger footprint.

I am using this to mount a ball-head to a rolling baby stand to relocate my camera in the studio. Kupo make great grip.

I attached this to an Impact superclamp that I wasn't using and secured them to an Impact rolling stand to function like the Impact Sliding Arm Support with Hand Grip - works great to hold up a dimmer from my Westcott flex panel.
