The picture quality is great, and the size truly makes a world of difference in my work. Working with Photoshop and lightroom regularly, this monitor is a must for me. The stand is incredible! It's sturdy, able to be raised and lowered, and the screen can be turned left and right. Very versatile. Worth every penny!

Got this for astro-photography, after a lot of blog reading. Went with Samyang for a few extra bucks off from the Rokinon brand on the exact-same lens. In New Mexico, open skies aren't very far away.  This lens is very sharp, and if you learned how to shoot with manual lenses, shooting manually is no problem. Focus to infinity is not so accurately reflected on the lens' scale--I wound up checking it in daylight and putting a spot of paint on the lens at infinity. Sony a6000's focus peaking feature is helpful, too and pretty accurate when a bright star is available (but double-check with focus magnification). Chromatic aberration is not a problem I pay much attention to, as it's minimal and post-production does well cleaning up any that occurs.  For milky way shots that include a foreground, I've found that the two-picture photoshop solution is best. (I try to be honest about where each was originally; no milky ways in a top hat yet) That involves getting to your site early, taking some long, detailed exposures of the land in twilight, and then waiting for night time to take your milky way shots. (Don't move the tripod, or you're cheating.) As a mac user, I use Starry Landscape Stacker to stack 15-30 star shots. After stacking and adjusting that result, I can work on the landscape shot from earlier, and paste the foreground to the silhouette of the background in photoshop. (why you keep your tripod in the same place) That composite is the final picture. Process as you see fit. Picture below of Cabezon, a volcanic plug by Bernalillo NM was produced this way.  Lens is sufficiently inexpensive that you'll have gas for a little driving to a place you can use it.

I use these in my camera, and rotate them in and out. They are the best I've found.
