Works as advertised. I use mine to monitor my new ring doorbell camera.

This particular doorbell camera has a great lens and very easy to install.

The hex end keeps my lights from rotating. Why would anyone want anything else?

I use this rotating bracket for macro photography.  It is very sturdy. it rotates easily.  It holds thigh on the camera and the flash.  Great product for a reasonable price.

Pentax 645 cameras are larger cameras and tend to rotate on a universal Arca plate. This plate fits well on the 645 Nii and Z bodies and does not cover anything that needs access. The pin fits perfectly and keeps the camera from rotating on the plate. It is long enough to give you some forward/backward movement to give better balance when mounted to the tripod. It's not as cheap as many of the universal plates and has not rubber on the top as a universal usually does but does not need it as the pin does the job of keeping the camera from rotating on the plate. If you have Pentax 645 cameras this is the plate to get.

Thin filter that screws in nicely and has a rotating ring. Use instead of a protective filter when shooting outdoors in bright light or haze. After firming attaching to camera, use camera viewfinder to focus on a smooth surface reflecting sunlight. Rotate ring to where the reflection is minimized. That's the optimal position for the filter. (I used a pencil to mark the lens barrel with a line that met the N in Nikon on the filter, so I can easily realign after taking the lens cap off). Works well.

This is the first rotating bracket that I have seen that also folds flat. It is prefect to store in a camera bag while traveling. It is sturdy to use on a Canon 5D Mark III or the much smaller Canon G5x. I have used it with a Canon 580ex, 430ex and a 270ex. It works well with the larger flashes but I use it primarily with the 270ex. Very well made and I am very pleased with it.

Until now I've relied on Kirk L-brackets. However the pivoting screens on the a7iv and a7rv are more easily used with this new rotating plate. Most of all I appreciate how much better control I now have on ball heads with the arca foot forward and thus closer to the center of gravity of the camera + lens. This is excellent with longer lenses lacking tripod collars, such as my Sony 2.8/90 macro and my Tamron 2.8/70-180. Today I was in the field doing wildflower close ups using a monopod close to the ground. Monopods don't stand by themselves. With an L-bracket on a monopod, switching from landscape to portrait is awkward. Position, framing and focus are lost in the process. But with this rotating bracket I could loosen the friction control with my left hand and rotate the camera with my right, while continuing to view my composition through the EVF. Access to the electrical ports is unobstructed, nice for in camera USB-C charging. To stabilize the bracket against horizontal rotation there is an anti rotation pin which must be screwed through the bottom plate to enter a matching hole in the bottom plate of the camera, alongside the battery door. My first Smallrig bracket was delivered missing this tiny part. B&H exchanged it. Be sure to use the pin. When not using a tripod or monopod this rotating bracket looks clumsy. However the Arca foot can rest in my left palm with the camera balancing well, thus facilitating steadier camera control and less muscle fatigue.
