It's a modem. You plug it into the wall and then into a router and you get internet.

Hello. We just had a power outage today, for 2.5 hours. As soon as the power went off this system kicked on automatically. I knew the power had gone out because this system has a beeping alarm when the unit is up and running. There is a button you can turn off the alarm. The alarm is not annoying - actually reassuring in a way - knowing that the system is up and running. The alarm turned off when the power was restored. All of my electronics quietly transffered back to the electric current in my house. My unit is now recharging again. I have 3 of these units in my house. I've owned them for a few years now. One unit for my internet system - which was up and running during the power outage. Sure I have internet usage on my cell phone, but all of my electronics that use wifi from my internet were also up and running as well - no interference or worrying about not having wifi available (unlike my neighbors). One unit hooked up to my Mac and Echo - both working throughout the power outage (still connected to the internet because my internet has one of these units). The last unit is hooked up to my TV (including Apple TV, a Roku Box, etc...). I've bought smaller units for smaller items that don't need as much power as this one provides. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase (B&H always delivers the best service) and these units have always come through during power outages. I'm looking to buy a few more... Good voice over internet product. Easy to set up. Economical. Wireless connection is good. I plugged machine into phone jack and have service throughout house. Note my ADT alarm worked fine with AT&T voice over internet but will not work with ooma. Not a big problem because I am switching to a different alarm anyway.

Is the best router with wifi 6. Internet is fast and the coverage is awesome!

I enjoy using this product because the internet rarely goes out with Modem/Router.

I have to say that main reason i bought this one is that alarm can be muted. It is good ups, it keeps my NAS and router online.

Handles the internet speed and wrks great with our NETGEAR router.

We were having struggles with our WiFi router that came with our internet, but this system makes our WiFi so much more accessible and faster! We love it.

The modem works great with my Cox internet service! I have it paired with a router and it works great.
