Rubber Pad Hold Phone Car

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a couple of other charging pads, which are smaller in size, but with the increase in phone size, it is very easy to knock your phone out it, and if the pad is close to the edge of a table (night table in my case), you could easily drop your phone to the floor. Not so with this one. The charging pad is a little wider in diameter (5.5") than my iPhone 11 so there is more surface area for the phone to sit on top. Further, there is three rubber pads for the phone to sit on - this prevents the phone from easily sliding out and at the same time, it allows for airflow, without disrupting the charging process. There is also rubber feet in the bottom of the pad to prevent it from sliding around. There is an LED that turns on when the phone is charging. It is dim so perfect for a night stand. It detects a phone very quickly - almost instantly you can see your phone starting to charge. My other older pads can take 1-2 seconds to detect the phone and start charging. Definitely a keepr.

I personally use this product to connect to my tripod head, to hold a monitor. I use other accessoires with it too, such as a ZoomH6 recorder. It has been working great for me. Its sturdy and holds everything well. The only downside I wanted to mention, is that there is no rubber pad on the end I screw into my tripod head. There is on the other end. I feel there should be a rubber pad on both ends to provide better hold

I have had the PD car mount for over a year now and I love the magnetic back to hold my phone in place for easy viewing and charging at the same time. I couldn't be happier with car mount!

Along the years, I have tried many different ways to hold my phone into car dashboards. I have never been happy with any one of them. For the first time ever, I have found an accessory that does exactly what is needed to have your phone exactly where you need it to be and, even more important, it keeps it there. Before getting it though, make sure that your vents are from one of the compatible types.

Once I purchased the iPhone 13 Pro case with finger loop that opened up a new world of other mobile accessories from Peak Design. :) I needed a car mount and didn't want something attached to my windshield or dashboard and vent car mounts didn't seem to hold well. This Peak Design car mount keeps my iPhone secure no matter where I drive. It is a nice feeling to know when I go over bumps or make turns I don't have to hold the phone just in case like with other products prior. I will admit finding a place to install the car mount in my 2004 Lexus RX330 was somewhat challenging. Since I didn't want it on the vinyl dashboard I had to get creative and found a small area above the radio where this mount fit. Granted it is covering up part of the word Passenger but not a big deal. I am sure newer cars probably have more options where to place this car mount but my determination to find that perfect place in my car worked out. I had debated purchasing this product due to mixed reviews but I am so glad I took a chance. It has worked out perfectly so far. Such a good feeling knowing my iPhone is secure and won't fly off. To remove I lift the bottom of the phone up and phone comes off easily. The magnet is strong and secure and what I needed. Plus in California you aren't allowed to hold your cell phone in the car so this also saves me from possibly getting a ticket! A win/win in my book!

I was always skeptical of magnetic mounts and passed several deals on Woot or other sites. I chanced upon a demo setup in the store and was very impressed with the hold. Bought one and installed it in my car. The base with the magnet attaches via sticky tape to the car. The magnet part is a ball/socket contraption in the base and can be held in a suitable angle by tightening a plastic nut. A metal plate goes on the phone. The metal plate can be inserted between the phone and case, or directly glued to the phone (plate has a sticky side). My purchase came with two plates a small the size of a quarter and a larger one the size of a credit card. I used the larger one on my iPhone 6 plus. I just put it in between the phone and case. The magnet is strong enough to hold my iPhone 6 plus at highway speeds. I have even run my car on rough spots on the streets to see if it would fall off. So far so good. I am yet to see how well the glue on the base holds up when summer comes along. One of the best uses I put this mount was attending a meeting, the kind of meeting where you have to dial in to listen and occasionally say a few words. I stuck my phone in landscape mode with gotomeeting running on it with audio streaming into my bluetooth headset.

I have been struggling to find something to hold my phone not only in one place like your car but also that I was able to use in multiple locations or events like car, working our, on my treadmill, my desk, truck, and almost anywhere you can attached. With an articulated arm I used it in many places and it is very well constructed. I strongly recommend this to anybody.

Wanted a system to hold my phone between my car and two motorcycles, and Peak Design has the best of all worlds! The magnet is strong and phone doesn't move.

I purchased a few of these to make a custom mount for my car to hold the iPhone I use for navigation away from the dashboard to keep my phone from overheating in the summer. Works perfectly. Stays tight and exactly where I want it. They also seem to be made well.

I use it to connect my cell phone to my car.
