Run Linux Mint From A Usb Flash Drive

For the money, this flash drive performs well. On my Linux Mint 19.1 system read speed was about 110 MB/s with write speed around 13 MB/sec. Comparable Silicon Power flash drives I have clock-in at reads of 111 MB/s and writes of only 8 MB/s, while a Lexar unit reads at 138 MB/s while writing at 9 MB/s. So overall a good performance and well suited to my sneaker net uses. 5 |

Plug and play on Linux Mint 21.1 . Throughput benchmark matched hard drive throughput maximum specifications. 5 |

I installed the drive in a old Mac Mini that has Linux Mint install. I did a disk copy to the new drive, replace the old drive. The drive works great and I was surprised at how much faster the drive works. It was a good buy, I recommend it. 5 |

Works well with Linux Mint Mate 20 and so do all the Logitech combos since they use the same driver. 5 |

SN750 or SN850 will do you well. I installed this as the primary OS drive on my laptop. I run Windows and Linux on it no problem. It is quick, and doesn't seem to overheat even in the small space. I like that it comes with TLC memory, so it should last. Comes with a good warranty. 5 |

Works like a charm with Linux Mint and Opensuse Tumbleweed. Beautiful condition, looks like it’s brand new. 5 |

We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly. 5 |
