Running A Long Ethernet Cable

I'm not running cable TV through the system, just using it to get Ethernet to a hard to reach spot in the house. Works like a charm. Really like the coax indicator light, takes the guess work out of knowing if the system loop is complete. Great product.

This is the way to go if you want to expand the bandwidth of your home network without running ethernet cable, and IMO is far superior to powerline adapters. They are truly plug and play, and require no setup at all once correctly connected to your router. My home was built with coax running to each room. I bought the 2 pack of these adapters to get more bandwidth for media streaming to my TV, and I am getting close to the advertised gigabit speeds. Just make sure you also buy a MOCA POE filter or else your data will travel out of your house into the cable network ... they are cheap so buy one and save yourself the headache. Also, these are not compatible with satellite TV .. only cable.

We use these for our timeclocks that are not wifi but have an ethernet cable connection. Works well.

This cable is perfect for running long runs for on location filming where you can't be up close and you don't trust your wireless system. I like it also that they offer several colors which make it easy to keep track of the channels you have them plugged in to. These cables are very durable and a must buy.
