Upgraded from a Ryzen 5 2600 to the Ryzen 9 5900X. 32 Gb RAM now running at rated speed (3600 MHz) by enabling XMP. To say this is significantly faster is a bit of an understatement. I have not completed benchmark, but this processor is going to handle my photo and video processing requirements for a LONG time. 5 |

Huge upgrade from my previous processor (Ryzen 5 2600). Has made rendering huge batches of audio files a breeze, and is a multi-taskers dream. It does run seriously hot, though AMD said that is to be expected. Just be sure your CPU cooler is up to the task. 5 |

I recently upgraded one of the shop computers and in addition to a new updated motherboard I chose the Intel i7-11700K processor. It was easy to install and worked perfectly out of the box. I am using a 360 AIO water cooler so the processor temperatures are within a respectable range. It operates most of our CAD programs at the optimum range and is comparable to the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X with the programs we use, though this processor was less expensive than the Ryzen processor. 5 |
