S21 Ultra Camera Screen Protector

Like many other reviews and comments, my Peak Design case for my S21 Ultra started to pull up my screen protector not long after I got it. While I see many people saying that this may be a potential deal breaker or prevent them from buying the case, I found a simple modification to the case can solve the problem entirely. While the PD team may not entirely approve or recommend this, if you want to have a screen protector While using the case, I highly suggest trying this! All you have to do is take an exacto knife and sliver away part of the rubber lip the comes up onto the screen. I tried this and NO MORE SCREEN PROTECTOR PEELAGE. You can go along the edges of the case and cut away the corners depending on what areas are pulling up your protector. Now I did this all in about 5 minutes and did a pretty sloppy job. If you take your time, you could easily do this and no one would ever know. I don't notice at all because I'm not really looking at the edges of my case in the first place, it all just blends in eventually. As you can see from the photos, it's pretty hard to tell despite me not caring too much. (Also, yes my screen protector is cracked and that is from my previous case combo and why I love protectors)! Hope this helps some people who want all the benefits the case offers, but don't care too much about it looking perfect and don't mind taking a knife to their brand new case ;) DISCLAIMER: Might void warranty and was only tested on S21 Ultra case

I really love the case and the functionality with all the accessories, especially the attachable tripod but the speigen screen protector for the S21 Ultra won't play well with the case.

I bought the case for my s21 ultra and it lines up perfectly with the camera bump. The overall quality is amazing and I don't have a single complaint.

The screen protector is made of Schott glass (same as one used to make filters and lenses) and is multi-coated on both sides, which helps to improve viewing clarity. The HF S200 is the same basic camera as the HF S20 & HF S21 minus the internal memory, and the HF S21 also has a view finder. The quality of the video and stills from this camcorder are amazing. The colors are realistic and vibrant and the images are sharp. I shot some closeups of flowers and the little hairs on the stems just popped off of the screen. Shooting at close range in telephoto results in very short depth of field giving you those short focus shots that everyone loves from the DSLRs. The double SD card slots are a great feature. Some of the other Vixias DO NOT support the class 10 SDHC memory cards but this camera DOES. I love all of the new features, the larger faster lens and sensor, the touch screen and native 24P. It's so great to be able to touch your image on the LCD to adjust focus and exposure. It makes life so much easier if your vision is poor or the LCD is hard to see in bright light. The face recognition and object tracking is especially helpful too. The stills are high quality so there is no need to tote a still camera to capture photos to add to your videos, or to make prints. I plugged the SDHC memory card into my iMac and was able to download the photos and video clips into FCP and iPhoto with no problems. I shot a green screen test and was able to pull a perfect key with no problem. The internal mics work well although I usually use a shotgun or wired lav for most of my work. I bought extra batteries, the B819 & 827 high capacity batteries and I'm satisfied with the life of all of the batteries. I have 10 Canons / 5 different models. I love that they keep getting better and better. The low light recording isn't bad but it could be better. Other than that my only other wish is if this camera could shoot native 30P. All in all with all of the features and the quality for the price this is an amazing camcorder.

If you already have a Screen protector on your Camera... Take EXTRA CARE removing it... Screen has a Micro Coating which can be damaged if the Existing Screen Protector has adhered itself, to the Screen... That being said, The Vello Screen Protector with the Magnetic Edge works as advertised... Thick Border to the right... if placed to the left, it obscures Screen Info... With those two things in mind, it's a gem. Sturdy construction and crisp opening and closing. I give it a 10 out of 10.
