I was surprised how much of a difference this deadcat makes for my Rode microphone, but we always have a little wind in Salt Lake City and this has made all those subtle wind sounds disappear!

Definitely a must have if you're diving in salt water. Keeps colors the way they should be and protects your lens.

I use to save my equipament against rain, dust, sand and salt water... Now I can organize all items in the same place... with dividers. This is what want!

What can I say. It was overcast, freezing and the air was filled with salt water, I was on huge piece of granite part of The Isle of Harris facing the sea, the wind was exceptionally strong, a terrible gust and my original lens cap was whipped from frozen fingers to fly in slow motion through the air to fall and strike the rock a resounding blow before disappearing into the sea. So my new lens cap arrived in record time and now sits a perfect fit on my lens. I sometimes think of the old one, forsaken, mingling with the starfish on the cold bed of The Minch.

High quality for sure. I use this mostly as a lens protector. Helps a lot on the beach when salt water and sand blow on to the lens which happens all the time for me. I'd rather clean off the filter than my lens every 5 mins while out on the beach.

I use a UV filter as a protective filter on all of my lenses because it may take the brunt of a drop or bump, but also because it keeps salt water spray, dust, and sand off of the front element of my lens. But I won't just put any UV filter on my lenses, they need to be clear, without color cast or distortion, and cause no vingetting. This filter fits the bill perfectly.
