Apparently, a lot of night club sound engineers think the way I do because I've been seeing these kick mic stands on every stage I've shot video on for the past year. They're solid and stable. The clamp is the only part that feels a bit light, but I've never had a problem and I haven't seen one fail, so I wouldn't let that stop you from buying one... or more. 5 |

I also want to recognize the great customer service on the part of both B&H and Photoflex. The bag with this kit had damage when I opened the box, and both entities cooperated to get a replacement to me quickly. 5 |

For field work we often use screw-in filters with our Sam Yang lenses so we dont have to carry a matte box. The 77mm size fits most of the lenses (20mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 135mm). Tiffen always makes good quality filters at a reasonable price and unlike the cheap plastic filters, this one does the job well and will last. 5 |

I wanted the versatility of length and color coding. Sam Mallery who makes a lot of technical videos for B&H recommended these videos at his blog (what to get for an audio professional). The manufacture seems top notch and I love the ability to match mics to my mixer using color coded cables. And hey, who doesn't like a little color. Ask me in five years how durable they are, but the specs are top notch and the components name brand. I'd rather not worry about my cables on a shoot. 5 |
