This Polk Audio Signa S2 2.1- channel Soundbar has a very good sound with good frequency range on a budget. It sounds great with the Tiny Desk concert and viewing movies. I'd recommend for others to use in a small apartment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently upgraded my Soundbar from a 7.1.2 Channel bar to the Samsung Q910D 9.1.2 Channel bar, and the upgrade was beyond worth it! This is a fully immersive experience with sound so good that it almost makes it challenging to focus on the screen. The room my TV is in is long and narrow, so not having the sound bounce around and just sound jumbled & loud has always been tricky. The SpaceFit Sound Pro calibration instantly made the sound amazing. I have the Samsung QN85B Neo QLED TV, and it pairs beautifully with this setup. I did find that setting the soundbar up on SmartThings via the TV had a hiccup, but then I just moved to my phone, and it was all dialed in within a minute to two. The back speakers are awesome! I honestly didn’t know I needed them, especially in my room, but there are so many little nuances to shows and movies that these speakers capture to really make you feel like you are in the middle of the entertainment. I think one of my biggest surprises is the balance that the system provides. The adaptive sound feature is incredible. The dialogue track of everything I have watched is crystal clear no matter if it is an intense action scene, the Taylor Swift concert on repeat with my daughter, or a quieter scene. Trust me, you won’t miss a thing. Another added benefit of pairing this soundbar with a Samsung TV is that the profile is perfect. Currently my TV is not wall mounted, so the soundbar sits perfectly in front of my TV without impeding the picture or leaving a gap between the bar and the TV. It provides a very clean design that feels integrated into the room. I have not tested the soundbar on a different brand of TV to verify that the quality when used with a Samsung TV is better, but all I can say is I will never watch TV the same again. This soundbar makes you appreciate your investment in a decent TV.

We used to rely on a small Echo Dot for connectivity, but the built-in Alexa on the soundbar has replaced it, providing a significant upgrade in audio quality. Additionally, the Samsung app allows me to switch between audio settings seamlessly from my phone with no lag. Overall, we are very satisfied with this soundbar and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, smart soundbar.

Our household loves striving to create the best soundscapes and experiences we can, as we digest a LOT of media. We selected the Samsung HW-S800D (3.1.2 channel setup) knowing that this best carries theater-like sound throughout the large room this lives in. What really sold us was the form factor AND usage of Dolby Atmos, which is largely why the 3.1.2 channel setup sounds as good as it does. Setup was NOT as easy as expected (or as the instructions tried to convince us it was). The subwoofer did not automatically pair with the soundbar like the instructions alluded to, and I had to do the manual pairing process thrice to finally get them to pair. I believe the issue was that the soundbar was trying to download/install a software update after I got it set up on my wifi and in my Smart Things app. I say “I believe”, since there was no indication that this software update was being attempted until after each timeI rebooted the soundbar while following the instructions under troubleshooting the subwoofer. I do like that the Smart Things app integration (and wifi integration for that matter) was optional. It added additional steps to my setup since I understand and appreciate the integrations it provides my household, but I love that it was not mandatory for the folks who may not care. Overall, as frustrating as the setup was for a few moments, the sound quality is immaculate and worth the fuss ten times over.

The sound quality fills my living room as if it’s a theater - it’s evident from the first use that the Dolby Atmos sound quality is superior. The setup of the soundbar was quick and seamless, it connected wirelessly to my Samsung TV, which allowed for a clean wireless look on my entertainment stand. Having a Samsung TV paired with this setup allows for utilization of the Q-Symphony feature which up levels the amount of sound that fills the space. Would highly recommend this product paired with a Samsung tv. The subwoofer adds a level of bass that is just right, without distorting any sound. I did experience some issues in connecting the soundbar to the SmartThings app, however I was able to get it connected by manually adding it in. Overall this is a very impressive product for the price point, and I would definitely recommend for anybody looking to add theater like sound in their home with minimal setup and minimal space being utilized in their entertainment center.

This soundbar is amazing because of how well it makes it sound like you have an actual home theater setup without all the extra hardware. Upon receiving the soundbar, unpacking and setting it up was a breeze since all it required was plugging it in. Our family really liked the look of the soundbar because of how sleek and stylish it looks amongst the furniture and the TV stand. The included remote also looks really nice and easy to understand while being very functional. Now onto the main star of the show which is the sound quality. First off the great thing about this soundbar is the fact that it has so many sound modes as well support for different sound profiles and codecs. Some of the modes that I love are Adaptive sound which changes the sound as needed for different scenes in a movie for example during dialogue heavy scenes or during action scenes. My kids love the game mode pro when they play games since it makes the games feel like you are actually in it. Everyone also knows how much Dolby Atmos is a game changer when it comes to watching movies today with its ability bring sound around you with its upfiring speakers. The mode that I cant wait to try out is Q-Symphony once I get my new Samsung TV since it uses the speakers from the TV in conjunction with the soundbar which would truly fill the room with sound. All in all this is an amazing soundbar that truly makes your setup into a home theater.
