Samsung 2.1 Soundbar System

This is the second Vizio soundbar I have bought. First one was a 2.1. This one is the bomb!

Those are the BEST 2.1 speaker system I have ever had.

Q-Symphony is one of the best features available when you have a Samsung sound system paired with a Samsung TV. I was already in love with my setup, but when I realized the soundbar could be paired with rear speakers, I quickly purchased the Samsung SWA-9500s. I was blown away by the overall experience, so much so that I rewatched all my movies just to experience the sheer excellence of my complete sound system. The Samsung Q800D soundbar paired with the SWA-9500s rear speakers has elevated my home theater experience to a whole new level. The combination of Dolby Atmos, Q-Symphony, and powerful sound has turned my living room into a cinematic masterpiece. If you're looking to invest in a high-quality sound system, I highly recommend this setup. It's a perfect blend of performance and value.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My prior non-Samsung soundbar of just a few years started to malfunction, so I decided that my new soundbar would be from Samsung. I had no idea what dimensions to expect as this product was not yet available. However my prior soundbar was a 3.1 system with subwoofer. So going to a 5.1 system seemed like it would be a nice upgrade. I hadn't realized that the subwoofer is built in. Nor that this soundbar was relatively small. For context, my TV is 64 inches and my prior soundbar was 42 inches. This soundbar was just over 26 inches, so I was skeptical about how it would look alongside the TV or how good the sound would be in our relatively large living room. To my surprise, this soundbar kicked butt. The sound was way better than before, and installation was pretty seamless. The sound filled the room, and you could clearly hear the conversations in the show. They even have a preset to amplify voices so you can hear them even better. But the regular setting was more than enough for me. I hooked mine up to the TV using SPDIF port (my own cable), but they provide an HTMI cable for HDMI/eARC if that's your preference. The mounting brackets were nice as well, and helped me hook it up to my TV mantel mount. I'm not a sound expert, but overall really happy with how it sounded for music and movies, which are my two main use cases. Really happy with the purchase, and space-saving built-in subwoofer and would certainly recommend!

The wireless technology also is great not having to hide and tuck away cords anymore. The soundbar and speakers were super easy to setup and took 15-20 minutes total to unpackage and setup. The system is top notch and the sound quality with movies and gaming is amazing. We enjoy family movie nights a few times a week and video gaming. The new Samsung Q Series has been incredible and such a fantastic upgrade from our last soundbar system. The quality, sound, and easy of setup won us over as huge fans of the Samsung Q-Series line of soundbars and speakers. With the 9.1.2ch true Dolby Atmos the speakers and audio are incredibly clear and the layers of sounds feel just as if we were inside a large movie theater. The Game Mode Pro is an awesome feature for gaming in our household. Online game play with our gaming systems and using the Game Mode Pro gives a whole new experience gaming online with the clarity of sounds in the games. Racing games, warfighting games, and adventure games are so much better now with the surround sound experience. The adaptive sounds are great because we don't have to have the speakers up loud to hear everything. Even at night while gaming or watching movies we can have the speakers volume low and still have the full surround sound experience and clear audio. With the wireless and Bluetooth technology, true Dolby Atmos sound, game mode Pro, Q-series symphony technology and adaptive sounds, Samsung has really knocked it out of the park with this systems capabilities and awesome features.

Starting with the beautiful design with strong lines and angles, this soundbar fit perfectly with our Samsung television. We just moved and this piece helped complete the living room in a modern and stylish way. It also paired perfectly with the rest of our Samsung family of products at the new house. Moving on to the important stuff - the sound quality is amazing. I was blown away. This is not our first soundbar system, but by far the best we have heard. The addition of a woofer is a true difference-maker. I am no sound file, but even I could tell the depth of the sound from this system. Even at a low-volume setting, you can feel the bass emanating from the woofer throughout the living room. I cannot wait to experience playoff hockey using this soundbar! Setup and connectivity were a breeze. It the woofer pairs seamlessly with the main soundbar piece, it's essentially just plug and play. The main unit itself can be connected to the TV via several methods, including wirelessly via Bluetooth. I opted to connect it via the ARC HDMI cable for an even more improved sound quality. The Q sync mode is optional, but it does allow for an even more upgraded sound quality by pairing to select Samsung televisions. Lastly, the unit came very well packaged and secured. Cudos to Samsung on figuring out a custom box to hold both pieces of equipment in a tight, controlled space to limit any sort of damage during transit.

I’ve been searching for a slim, minimalist soundbar with great sound as a replacement for a somewhat bulky (well known branded) bar that was several years old. I was also looking for a reasonable priced system. This is it. It is also a great looking soundbar. Set up was easy and took less than 20 minutes. Very clean and streamlined! No problem pairing via bluetooth to my non-Samsung television but I decided to use the soundbar via the ARC HDMI. In addition to its sleek profile, the sound quality is crisp and clean, and a huge improvement over my older system. The new soundbar has dramatically improved my home theater experience for watching movies or listening to music. The remote is well made and simple to use but the system can be controlled through Samsung’s app Smart Things. This works very well for me. The subwoofer is kind of big but I knew that before I purchased. One minor negative is not related to the system’s capabilities but to the documentation that came with the system. It basically just instructions for set-up and mounting the soundbar. It’s disappointingly very sparse. There was no spec sheet, feature explanations, or any mention of the app. I went to Samsung.com for more information but still could not find a complete manual for the system. I think this is an area where Samsung can improve. Overall, the S700D is a solid system, sounds great, looks terrific, and it’s easy to use. I am super pleased and I wound buy again.

I find this very practical because, not only can you watch or stream your favorite shows or movies, but you can also hear your podcasts or music through it. It has crisp and enriching noise levels that were tested with a couple of devices, which is another factor I really like about this unit. Comes bundled with a comfortable and easy-to-use control (batteries included) for adjusting your preferred audio settings and connectivity method. Plus, metal brackets for suspending it from whichever place you prefer. One of my pictures below shows all the things that come with it. Did I even mention that, unlike most soundbars, it comes with a subwoofer? Well, now you know, it does come with a powerful enough subwoofer that can deliver to enhance your theatre-like experience.
