Samsung 32Gb Usb 3.0 Flash Drive Speed Benchmarks

This 128 gig 3.0 USB flash drive rocks, your price was outstanding for a drive of this speed and size. The first time I used it I thought that a transfer of about 6 large files had not happened because it was so fast, thanks for your prompt delivery also! 5 |

This Flash Drive is very fast as it of 3.0 speed type and takes advantage of USB 3.0 vs. 2.0. Works with either though. Small in size. I take advantage of this and keep it always plugged into my laptop for additional storage. I use it for holding archives of files I moved off of my SSD drive that I have backed up and then keep them available for immediate reference. I have not had any issues and I use it daily for the last two months. 5 |

This is a good size flash drive for transporting files to other sites. The USB 3.0 speed makes it a quick transfer. 5 |

It's a 32GB USB flash drive, and it works just like it's supposed to! Build quality is nice, and it's incredibly small! Would definitely purchase again! 5 |

SanDisk is the only USB flash drive that I'll purchase. Never had an issue. I buy the 32GB for everyday stuff. The 256GB I use to download videos. I don't trust any other flash drive for this use. 5 |

Nice to be able to use all my USB 3.0 devices and get the speed it provides. 5 |

This drive is as fast as they get, for USB 3.0 speed. Yes, there are other very fast drives that might edge this one out in a specific category. But unless you are copying (reading or writing) massive amounts of data, and doing it often, I doubt it will be noticeable. To be clear, this drive is very fast. It will likely be #1 in many speed tests. It just might come in a close 2nd place in a specific category. The drive has a solid, well built feel to it. The head slides in and out, and it locks into place when you slide it in either direction. Applying thumb pressure, and then pushing/pulling forwards/backwards, is how you set the head to be out or in. It has a blue activity light. Not too bright. Just right. This is truly an excellent thumb drive (competes with the Kingston HyperX Savage, which is also a very fast drive and would have an almost identical review). 5 |

I use this as an expansion drive on my workstation for video editing. Works great. I have it connected via the included USB-C to USB 3.0 cable. When I initially connected it to a USB 3.0 port on the PC the write speed was very slow, only 40 MB/s. Connecting it via a USB 3.0 powered hub brought the write speed up to the expected 240 MB/s. 5 |

I was outgrowing my 1 TB external single drives, and it was about time to separate my work projects from my personal. The item arrived quickly, and sported the lovely new electronic smell. Install was a breeze; as I don't have the need for RAID at the moment, I converted the drives quickly to be independent of each other, with one drive making multiple backups of the other. My system doesn't support USB 3.0, so I can't comment on the speed. But I can say USB 2.0 speeds are similar to other external drives, averaging around 20-25 MB/sec, according to the disc tests I ran. 4 months later the drive bay still runs like a charm. It is very quiet, located about 4 feet away from ear shot, and can only be heard when booting up the desktop as the drives spin up. This won't win you any awards for speed if you're doing heavy video processing. For now, it serves my purpose as a drive for my photography business, but I fear as the cameras keep increasing in MP sizes, I may need to update the desktop to either USB 3.0 or something similar, as USB 2.0 is starting to show its age (rendering full size previews of thousands of images can take a long time)! 5 |

I bought this to use as a redundant data backup. The USB 3.0 transfer speed is great and is a great value at only $80 for 1 TB. I also made use of the password protection for the drive which works immediately upon the drive being plugged in. 5 |
