[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first home security system and I am loving it! The quality (both sound and video) is exceptional. I love that I can speak into the camera to my cat. Turning the camera and adjusting the angles is simple, too. I am pleasantly surprised with how well the quality is at night, also. The ability to record when I want is nice, and also I love the motion/noise detector. I feel much more secure now. 5 |

I purchased this NVR for a simple two camera security system on my home. I bought a separate hard drive, which gave me twice the recording capacity for the same price as one that came pre-installed. Installation was easy, thanks to videos on YouTube. It came with the necessary connectors to install the hard drive. I installed the NVR , along with my cable modern and wifi router, in a pantry and it works fine. It is plugged into a good quality surge protector. It make a bit more noise that I expected, but it is not bothersome. Hopefully it will provide years of service. 5 |

Replaced a home camera security system that’s been running continuously since 2014. The hard drive in that system was a western digital purple drive. Unquestionable reliability is the reason another WD Purple drive was purchased for the new system. 5 |

I have been very happy with my ecobee SmartCamera. Installation and configuration could not have been easier or more intuitive. Simply plug in the camera, open the ecobee app on your phone, step through adding the new device and the camera was up and running in a couple of minutes. One of the things I like about ecobee products is they appeal to a wide range of Users. You can keep it very simple or you can integrate the their devices into a larger ecosystem of home automation. I also purchased the door/window sensors with built in motion sensors as part of the ecobee as part of the Home Security Bundle. I also have an ecobee Smart Thermostat with Voice Control. All of these devices integrate though the ecobee App to create a very simple to use home security network for added peace of mind. And the Autopilot feature automatically takes care of turning on/off the security system as well as setting the thermostat to home/away as you come and go from your home. What a simple but effective system. 5 |
