Samsung 512 Ssd Laptops

I replaced my 1 terabyte hard drive with this samsung 850 pro 512 gb and its practically instant on and everything opens fast ,i have a dell laptop i5447 i5 windows 8.1 . The software that came with the SSD did not work properly on my machine so i bought the apricorn 3.0 upgrade kit For $ $That cloned the hard drive flawlessly .:) Great SSD drive .BH was a pleasant buying experience (fast).

I have used the Samsung 850Pro 512 GB SSD to replace my original Intel 510 120 GB SSD. The cloning process was easy and the drive functions beautifully.

I install Samsung SSD in all my client machines, as well as my personal ones. They have no moving parts, which makes them ideal for laptops that get moved and/or tossed around. Performance is stellar. Win7 and new can use the Magician software to enable RAPID mode (disk cache), which is ideal on battery powered laptops to ensure no data loss from a power outage. The PRO is more durable than the EVO series, and priced accordingly. PRO is for heavy use. Leave 5~10% of the disk as raw/unallocated for automatic wear leveling.

This 512 Gb SSD is a replacement for a 256 Gb SSD. A cloning process went well and everything works fine.

I already bought 2 for my other Laptops, I bought this one to replace a broken SSD. I only buy Crucial SSD from now on.

I purchased the model with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD storage, which match my previous Mac with an Intel I7 processor. The speed improvement is very noticeable, even for things like loading web pages. The Bluetooth keyboard and mouse work very smoothly for me, although the mouse might be small for someone with big hands. I like having the TouchID sensor on the keyboard. The screen is very sharp and bright, with great color.

It's an Apple computer, & as such, no surprises if you're familiar with the brand. Biggest difficulty is determining what level of Macbook Pro to get, as it's pretty impossible to upgrade later. I went with 36 gb of ram and 512 gb ssd. The ram was necessary for photo editing, and although the ssd is small, it's large enough to hold all the programs, and storing photos on external drives is necessary if you're taking a lot of photos. An external 2 TB ssd is less than the cost of upgrading the Apple ssd from 512 G to 1 TB. Get a firewire or usb 3 ssd and you won't notice any lag in loading. The price from B&H was better than ordering direct from Apple, Amazon, Best Buy (yeah, they've got a local store, so I checked) or any other legitimate online store. Order was delivered on time and in excellent condition. Anyway, I upgraded from a 2017 Intel iMac desktop. This is significantly faster. I haven't done any movie editing yet, so can't speak to that, but it runs Luminar Neo, ACDee, Topaz Photo AI, and the Affinity photo applications well. Get a good hub that uses minimum usb 3 and you'll need a good external monitor, as 14 is too small for serious photo editing. Hope this info helps.

Got a new PC, started exploring NAS storage because the PC only had a 512 GB SSD. A buddy at work suggested replacing the SSD with a 4 TB drive. I found this one on B&H and was so glad to be able to get it quickly. Cloned my SSD to the new one, and now my new PC has plenty of storage and runs super fast. THANKS, B & H!!

The 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD combination makes the Mac Mini M2 Pro bulletproof for my applications and work flow. I paired it with a Dell Ultrasharp U2723QE for a cost effective setup that, for me at least, is as good as the much, much, more expensive Studio Mac and Monitor route. I am sure this is not powerful enough for some, but really, not for many. Great Mac !
