Using the Samsung 1TB 970 EVO Plus in my new NUC11. Works great.

I have used the Samsung 970 EVO 1 TB and some older versions as well. According to review sites, this is a newer but not a better version of the Samsung cheaper consumer line SSD. There are no DRAMs anymore. If you consider buying this, you should research it first to understand your usage whether the lack of DRAMs will impact what you do. For me, Windows 10 booted up in less than 17 seconds including post, that's pretty good for a $120 1TB drive. I am sure if you are doing a tons of I/O for your PC, then you should consider the $180 1TB 980 EVO PRO instead. But for me, this is great speed and great price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Technology is just amazing and NVME is one happy byproduct of that. I already had a Samsung 970 Evo for my main drive and just when I think it can't get better Samsung releases the 980 Pro. My boot times were already amazingly quick using the 970 so whereas I didn't notice a huge difference there drive to drive transfer are so fast I almost despise having to use a mechanical as my media storage. I look forward to the day when the drives get larger and price per/mb continues to drop so I can replace all my mechanical drives. It's also my understanding that the new drive for PS5 is using the 980 pro so I will definitely be buying another one for extra storage on my console. If you care about speed and great quality this Samsung drive is hands down what you should be using in a new or existing pc build or backup storage in your new favorite video game console.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed to replace my tried and true Samsung 970 1TB EVO for something a little larger, and a good deal faster which is what I got when I got the Samsung 990 2TB Pro. I am still using my original drive as auxiliary storage for non-essential files and programs, but having everything on my main drive makes things much easier and quicker with game loading and other tasks. I was very excited to be able to get it at a great price and it was super easy to install and load onto the new drive!

Replaced my 500GB Samsung 970 Pro with this 1TB Samsung 980 Pro. Using Samsung's Magician software, I was able to quickly and easily clone my C: drive (boot drive) without any issue whatsoever. I have been using Samsung M.2 drives for many years. Just an all around excellent product and installion process. I highly recommend.

I used this card to hold a Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD to replace my existing hard drive. My Dell 8900 recognized both the PCIe card and SSD and loaded Windows 10 with no hiccups. The card hold 4 SSD but I only used one (1TB). Both the ASUS card and B&H are great!

i bought 970 evo plus 1tb ssd a month ago nearly im very impressed with its performance its speed is as advetised even a bit more (read/write) its my second samsung ssd i use one as boot drive(980 pro 500 gb) but my pc is also decent enough (sadly not pcie 4 but still ok ish) specs 9700kf 32 gb ram 500gb samsung 980 pro 500 gb 1tb 970 evo plus 1tb motherboard asus prime z390 m plus (pcie 3 sadly but still very fast for me) overall samsung is great brand i use samsung phones for years i never had problems with any samsung product .even my old pc ram is samsung 2gb (been using it for over 10 years ) samsung is very good
