Samsung A7 Fe Tablet

Excellent light weight protector for your A7 with the FE f1.8 55mm or the kit lens. Remember...its the D-MIDSIZE pouch. Its like the big bad wolf..one is to small and one is to big...this one is just right.

This lens adapter fits my Voigtlander lens just like a FE lens fits a Sony a7 series camera. The Sony side of the adapter also has a perfect fit to my Sony a7ii and Sony a7Rii. The price is high but it is nice to have a solid adapter without worrying about it having too tight a fit on the lens side, a light leak, or inferior build quality.

I bought the Sony SEL28F20 lens because it is small and lightweight. It also happens to be a great lens. First, let me say that I am a Nikon user, but last year I purchased a Sony A7 with the Kit lens as a travel camera when the price dropped. I'm now in my late sixties and I have a bum neck and worn out rotator cuffs. My two heavy Nikon bodies D610 and D800 with heavy to really heavy lenses attached are becoming intractable for walk around photography. This past Spring, my neck was stiff and sore for days after walking around in the desert for a couple of hours with a D800 and a Sigma 180mm 2.8 macro ca. 5.5 lb together. Something had to give, so I've decided to invest in additional Sony FE lenses. I'm sticking with primes for now. The 28mm is the first and I will purchase the 90mm FE 2.8 macro when it becomes available. Then, maybe the 55mm f1.8 and maybe the A7II or A7RII next year. This lens is incredibly compact and light 200 g and together with the A7, weighs only a little over a lb. with the A7 ii, a smidge heavier. I can carry the combination all day with no neck strain. I'm not a pixel peeper, but after examining some test shots, this lens appears to be quite sharp. DxOMark rates it as highly as the Sony/Zeiss 35mm f/2.8 both tested on the A7R and at almost half the cost. Distortion is pronounced, but is correctable in post-processing. I haven't noticed any chromatic distortion; I haven't tried to purposely induce it, but according to DxOMark it is not as well controlled in this lens as it is in the 35mm f/2.8. Again this can easily be corrected in post processing. Anyway, CA is not nearly as pronounced as it is in my Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8, which is pronounced at almost all apertures and focal lengths and especially bad below 50mm. In short, I'm very happy with the Sony FE 28mm f/2. It is a vast improvement over the kit lens at that focal length. Carrying it attached to the A7 reminds me of the good old days when I had a Pentax MX and SMCM 28mm f/2.8.

The sharpness at f/2.8 is as good as FE 16-35mm stopped down and the corner sharpness is untouchable by the zoom lens. It reminds me why I have always preferred prime lenses over zoom. Stopped down slightly to f/4 and it easily out-resolves the 24mp a7 sensor; eye-ball cutting sharpness is a given across the entire frame, spare the extreme 1% corner of photo. The 18-pointed sunstars are also very well defined and attractive. I find the colour transmission and contrast to be wonderful and the raw file requires only minimal amount of adjustments to achieve my desired result. The OLED display gets some love finally as I find it very intuitive on a super wide angle, just glance on the display and you know the depth of field, even in the darkest of nights. Although a little bulky, it weighs in at a feather weight of 330 gram and I can do urban exploration all day long with a7 and this lens on my neck strap. I will treat this lens as my family heirloom thank you very much :)

I've acquired more than a few FE-mount lenses since the emergency of the A7 series. The 85/1.8 delivers an extraordinary combination of compactness, speed, optical quality and utility. If I can have only one medium telephoto lens for the A7, this is it.
