what a screaming hard drive best I have ever used way to go samsung!!!!!

I have been using Samsung SSDs since the 830, and the pro version since the 840 pro came out both in my own machines and clients and have never had any issues at all and great speed from the drives. Definitely some of the most reliable drives available!

We upgraded the C disks on two Win 7 PRO SP1 64-bit machines: the current C disks were Samsung 840 PRO 256GM SSDs; the new C disks were the 1TB versions of the PRO 260 line. The transition was really easy using the Samsung Data Migration software from their web site. We also used an inexpensive disk caddy while that software was running. The machines have been up for a week or so with the new C disks and we have experienced no problems, same as with the 840's we replaced. The price drop for this technology made the updates very inviting. Note, you can get Samsung EVO SSD's for a lot less. They are a quality product too but the warranty period is shorter.

I use these in a variety of machines and they get worked very hard. I am averaging 2+ years with the Samsung drives under these conditions. I have played around with a number of brands and these are the best of breed in my experience.

Leading brand of memory that is trusted, works great and has a great warranty. Samsung SSDs is all I use in my machines. Did I forget to mention that they also lightning fast :)

I install Samsung SSD in all my client machines, as well as my personal ones. They have no moving parts, which makes them ideal for laptops that get moved and/or tossed around. Performance is stellar. Win7 and new can use the Magician software to enable RAPID mode (disk cache), which is ideal on battery powered laptops to ensure no data loss from a power outage. The PRO is more durable than the EVO series, and priced accordingly. PRO is for heavy use. Leave 5~10% of the disk as raw/unallocated for automatic wear leveling.

We are really pleased with this drive. It has improved performance on the machines we have installed it in by 100%. I would buy again in a minute and highly recommend to those looking for a SSD drive replacement or add on.

This my 7th WD hard drive. Over many years they are all still working. They are mainly used for Time machines. They work well.

If you photograph a lot and have to provide files to various people using Windows and Apple machines, this is the flash drive to use. It is, IMO, the only type of flash drive to buy.

I use two each for my two machines. I bought a 5th to use in a HD enclosure to back up a laptop. I only have SATA II (3Gb/s)but the drive can be jumpered into that mode which eliminates overhead from transation, thus performing better when SATA II connected. It is also a 1 platter drive reducing wear on the spindle and must have greater areal density than equal sized multi-platter drives...Areal density is a measure of the quantity of information bits that can be stored on a given length of track, area of surface, or in a given volume of a computer storage medium. Generally, higher density is more desirable, for it allows greater volumes of data to be stored in the same physical space. Density therefore has a direct relationship to storage capacity of a given medium. Density also generally has a fairly direct effect on the performance within a particular medium, as well as price. With a five year warranty this was a great buy and was retail boxed. First time I've seen a retail boxed drive in ages. In 25 years of building my own and machines for others I've had only one WD drive fail and trust me, I've run dozens of them under very demanding circumstances.
