I'm upgrading from a Sony Alpha 350 that is about 20 years old. The T8i is so much lighter than the a350 and the LCD certainly reflects the improvements in technology. The Canon interface is clean and I love the flip-out/reversible LCD screen (it can be folded inward during transport to protect the screen). The photos thus far are outstanding! 5 |

Took my brand new RC350B down to Montgomery, AL, for an interview shoot in a large Airbnb rented house. Lots of windows. This was my first experience with a COB light. Set up the 350 with a 36 parabolic unit with diffusion and an egg crate in front. What I loved was the ability to dial in just what I needed as the light from the early morning to midday changed intensity and color temperature. But what REALLY knocked me out was the wired remote that comes with the 350. So while sitting behind the camera, looking at my monitor, I was able to make instant decisions about the intensity on the lawyer's face w/o having to halt the shoot, get up and touch the light or fidget with an iPhone app. I had the remote attached to the monitor light stand just to my left. It's held on with a magnet. So you simply reach over, take the remote, then turn a dial as you watch the monitor, and continue shooting w/o missing a beat. Great stuff! 5 |

It gives me the option to power up to two things at the same time. I use it with a Sony F3 and then also to power a LCD monitor at the same time and the same time. Can't ask for more... 5 |
