Samsung Fit Usb Drive

Used to connect a Hard Drive to a Samsung GSII. Lenth of the micro usb end is long enough to fit as most other cables ends are to short and do not fit properly. Nothing bad at all about this cable B&H got it to me very fast I was quite impressed with the shipping speed.

My laptop had a 2TB Samsung EVO 970 plus system drive and I bought this WD black to put in a USB enclosure. But before I did, I ran Crystal Disk Mark on the Samsung, cloned the system to this drive and ran it again on this drive. My laptop is only PCI 3 so I wasn't expecting the stated performance, and no surprise it didn't make those numbers. But it did perform a little better than the Samsung and ran a bit cooler also. So I kept this WD black as the system drive and wiped the Samsung and put that one in the USB enclosure. Now it's a few weeks later and so far so good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got the new Samsung T9 Portable 1TB SSD drive. The drive is unexpectedly small and quite attractive with a rubber-like covering. I’m very pleased that the drive comes with both USB-A and USB-C cords for attaching to most any type of device. The drive is connected via USB-C to my Mac Studio computer. The Mac OS instantly recognized the drive and allowed me to format it for my Mac (Mac OS Extended Journaled). I tested the speed with a disk speed test utility, which reported 829.8 MB/s (write) and 890.8 MB/s (read). The speed is approximately 11X faster than my other USB external drives. I am struggling with the included Samsung PSSD utility. The app always tells me that the drive is not connected although my Mac sees it and allows me to use it. I’ve tried all of the Samsung troubleshooting suggestions for Mac OS, but it still remains unusable. That really makes no difference for me to use it. Nevertheless, I like everything about the Samsung T9 Portable 1TB SSD drive. It’s a great addition to my system.

I ordered this barebones kit with 16 gb of Crucial memory from B&H, and, of course it was delivered promptly. I got the Intel Pentium Silver N6005 version. I have built several NUCs over the years, and this compact unit was easy to open up. I installed the memory and a Samsung 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD, and downloaded Windows 11 home and used the Microsoft Media creation tool to create a bootable USB drive. I then booted from the USB stick and installed Windows on the Samsung drive in minutes. I already had a key to use to activate. This device adds Windows to my set up, and takes up very little space on the desktop. I am feeding a 4K monitor and I am able to stream sources in 4K HDR with no difficulty. This is not a high performance machine, but it handles Microsoft Office tasks and media comsumption to meet my personal needs. The price was right and I am very pleased.

It's sturdy and compact for how much it can hold. I've never had a corrupted file that caused me to format the drive and loose everything, which happened on a few San****. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was previously using a Samsung T7 Shield drive for all of my Visual Effects work I do in After Effects. The T7 is great but I was running out of storage space and needed another drive. Luckily the Samsung T9 SSD 1tb just released and what an amazing upgrade. I ran the Black Magic drive speed test on both my T7 and T9 and the T9 was significantly faster. Moving large files to drive was super quick and seamless. The T9 has a very nice feel to it. It has a rubbery texture so there is some grip to it which is what you want on a portable drive. It came with both a USB A to C and USB C to C cable. This is convenient since I have a new MacBook Pro which has no USB A input, so I had the options for cables. I would highly recommend this drive for anyone looking for some external storage. Samsung drives are known to be very reliable and I feel pretty safe with having this drive hold my hours of hard work and not worry about losing it.
