Samsung G9 Charger

The Ergotron HX is holding my Samsung 49-inch G9 and it is simply outstanding. It clears up considerable desk space and allows me to position the monitor exactly as I want. It was easy to put together and attach to my desk and the monitor. Ergotron really did their homework when they designed this arm. It is well worth the price.

This is a great desk mount for heavy monitors like Samsung G9 49. Easy to put together, good range of movement.

I tried everything to mount my Samsung Odyssey G9. I tried heavy-duty mounts from every company, I tried bolting things in place, and I tried everything short of welding a bracket for the monitor. I still ended up with this Ergotron arm with the HD Pivot. I am so glad that I ended up biting the bullet. Setup was easy, the only issue I had was that I needed to reinforce the desk with wooden boards because the weight was too much for my Ikea desktop. Other than that I am looking at a pile of arms I tried that did not work and realizing that I spent more than the cost of this arm trying to find a cheaper alternative. Learn from my mistake and just go with this one from the start.

Below is the review I wrote for the charger that this adapts to.  I bought this so that I could charge the batteries for the Panasonic LX100m2 externally.  The supplied USB charger is okay, but I dont usually want my camera attached to my computer for hours.  It charges the batteries a bit faster than charging in camera via USB.   Added benefit is that I can also charge the batteries for my Panasonic G9 with an inexpensive adapter.  I prefer this to the charger supplied with the G9 because it takes up a lot less space in my bag, plus I dont need to carry 2 sets of chargers and cables for the 2 cameras when I travel. It seems a bit slower charging the G9 battery than the charger supplied with the camera, but not significantly so. Its a wall wart, but its small enough that I can plug in something else on the other side of the outlet. Both types of batteries fit easily and snugly into the charger. Also comes with an adapter for using a cars 12v outlet. Finally, a lot less expensive than either one of the Panasonic chargers.

Having only had this camera for a couple of weeks, I'm still learning its intricacies, but so far, I find it a worthy upgrade to my much loved G9. Paired with the Leica / Lumix 9mm f1.7, it focuses quicker and more accurately than the original G9. The viewfinder is much brighter than the G9, which gave me fits when wearing sunglasses; no such problem with the G9II. The hair trigger shutter release on the G9 has been replaced with a more typical sensitivity, nearly eliminating unintended shots of my feet while walking with the camera turned on. I'm still getting used to the changed button placement, but nothing seems inappropriate, just different. My only complaint so far is the lack of an external battery charger; making charging one battery while shooting with another impossible. Fortunately, I have the original G9's external charger. Overall, very pleased.

I replace the Panasonic G9 OEM charger which was overcharging my OEM batteries. Since batteries are not shipped to Hawaii I bought a couple aftermarket batteries locally. This charger worked perfectly with the both type of batteries.

I have the G9 II and its internal battery is charged while in the camera. It is handy to have this battery charger so as to charge a second battery while the first battery is being used by the camera. The charger is a little expensive but worth having.

Works as well as the battery that came with my G9.

Charged right up. Works great with my LUMIX G9.

Stays on my trusty old LUMIX G9 all the time.
