Samsung Hdmi Monitor With Speakers

Got this for my 65 Samsung QN65Q60T. The internal speakers are not horrible, but hooking this up made quite a difference. Initially, I was somewhat underwhelmed as watching regular network tv shows or news does not bring out the subtleties. The Clear Voice and Adaptive Low Volume features really do work well. I keep mine in 3D Mode all the time. We live in a condo with neighbors above and to one side. I don't play a lot of movies at loud levels, but even at moderate levels, the sounds of Yellowstone really come across. I recommend! My wife asked me if I was happy with it and I asked her what she thought. She said it sounded the same. I got up and unplugged the HDMI cable and she said Oh....I see! BTW: at least on my Samsung, the HDMI ARC worked perfectly.

I bought this to connect my aging Samsung monitor, which only has DVI and VGA inputs, to my new computer which only has DisplayPort and HDMI outputs. Since the monitor doesn't have a sound system in it, DisplayPort is the natural choice, and I use the HDMI of for my pen tablet. Cable works flawlessly with no problems in picture quality and has plenty of length to be able to stow the computer out of the way. It feels durable enough to last many years.

Samsung places this monitor in their Essentials lineup - a moniker usually reserved by vendors for very basic devices. And, indeed, many things about this monitor are basic. But nothing is actually bad or even poor. The picture is good. The brightness is good. It properly handles 50Hz (PAL framerate) video from my retro gaming scaler, so that's a very nice feature. As is typical with inexpensive monitors, the stand is bare-bones and places the monitor quite low to the desk, but the VESA mounting option lets me add a $20 monitor arm to solve that issue. The single HDMI input is a tad limiting, but at $4 per port for the HDMI licensing fee, I can understand why they did that. It's also not excessively light-weight that it threatens to topple over on my desk. The external power supply is a bit of an odd design, being an in-line brick with with the AC input at an angle. Just something to keep in mind for cable routing concerns. In all, a great monitor for the price. Highly recommended.

I recently also bought a Samsung UHD monitor from B & H to use with my laptop, and though the monitor includes an HDMI cable, a friend recommended my buying the Mini DisplayPort Adapter Cable for even higher quality than the HDMI. Not only was it inexpensive, it definitely makes a worthwhile difference in sharper and richer picture quality, and would highly recommend this product to anyone wishing to improve their monitor picture quality.

This is a great monitor and it is reasonably priced. It is clear and the sound is great....better than most Samsung TVs as they don't have great speakers. We bought 2 for our audio visual system and they are excellent.

I'm using this to connect and HDMI monitor to a DisplayPort on my Chromebox. Works like it should and transmits audio as well to the speakers inside the monitor. I would recommend this for anyone needing to hook HDMI into a DisplayPort source.

When my monitor (with speakers) died I got a new one without speakers. The old one was using HDMI and worked fine. Unfortunately the new one lacked speakers and I discovered that when I plugged my speakers into the computers on board card they wouldn't work. I purchased this Sound Blaster card to see if this would fix the problem. In short, it is the best I've seen. It was an easy installation and the sound is far superior to what I had before. I give it 5 stars for ease of installation and quality of product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 monitor is the best monitor I’ve ever used. The picture is crystal clear and adapts to any game type you play (first person shooters, sports, role playing, strategy, simulation, and adventure games). Only downside is that it has no speakers so you will need external speakers if you wish to not use a headset. The quality is so good, I just ordered the Samsung Neo QLED 8k for all my streaming purposes.

They may look small beside my 28 inch Samsung 4K monitor but the sound of these speakers is way better than one would expect.

Let's start with the basics, the colors are vibrant and the blacks are true. This aside, the Samsung G8 is like a full blown TV! As soon as you get it all connected, the first thing you are greeted with is a TV like menu. You get free options like Samsung TV Plus, as well as paid subscriptions such as Netflix, Disney Plus and Prime Video. The monitor comes with a handy remote like a TV with buttons that correspond to the aforementioned subscription services. The monitor also features built in speakers that sound just fine as computer speakers but if you want something more robust, I would suggest better computer speakers or even a soundbar. Gaming on this monitor is just above and beyond! Colors pop, blacks stand out against vivid backgrounds and the refresh rate is superb! For gaming, I am absolutely in love! Overall, to say I am impressed with this monitor would be an understatement! This monitor is more than just a beautiful OLED monitor, it also doubles as a smaller OLED TV thanks to built in apps and a sleek remote!
